Thermo Scientific Thermolyne® Atmosphere-Controlled Muffle Furnaces Built-in flowmeter with valve allows easy adjustment of airflow ■ Stainless steel manifold introduces pre-warmed gases ■ Exhaust port allows for easy ventilation—no fume hood needed These programmable, atmosphere-controlled muffle furnaces are ideal for coal and coke ashing procedures. Easily adjust the flow rate of air (0 to 80 L/min) with the built-in flowmeter located in the front of the furnace. Stainless steel (SS) manifold pre-warms incoming gases to provide minimum temperature gradient. There is no need to place furnace under a fume hood— connect the stainless steel tubing to exhaust port on top of the furnace for proper ventilation; order tubing kit separately below. The furnace has an eight-segment (four ramp and four dwell) programmable controller and a digital LED that lets you view both the actual and set temperatures. Overtemperature protection cuts off power to the heating elements when chamber temperature exceeds set point. What’s included: two dual-purpose stainless steel crucible trays that accommodate 24, 30-mL porcelain crucibles or 38, 10-mL quartz crucibles. Note: Furnace does not include a power cord.
