    2.428 familias del Pacífico Central cuentan ya con nuevas viviendas • Inversión por ¢29.806 millones en bonos de vivienda se ejecutó en ocho cantones de la región. • Adicionalmente, avanza la construcción de 7 proyectos de vivienda y uno de bono comunal en beneficio de 1.632 familias de Puntarenas. Estos se ubican en Barranca, Chacarita, Miramar, Parrita y Macacona de Esparza. Un total de 2.428 familias de ocho cantones del Pacífico Central cuentan ya con nuevas viviendas, gracias a una inversión de ¢29.806 millones del Banco Hipotecario de la Vivienda (BANVHI). Así lo dio a conocer la ministra de Vivienda y Asentamientos Humanos, Irene Campos Gómez, tras detallar que el otorgamiento de bonos de vivienda se dio en los cantones de Puntarenas, Montes de Oro, Esparza, Parrita, Quepos, Garabito, Orotina y San Mateo. Campos informó además, que el gobierno ejecuta siete proyectos de vivienda ubicados en Chacarita y Barranca (cantón central de Puntarenas); Miramar (Montes de Oro); Macacona (Esparza), y tres en Parrita, así como el bono comunal Juanito Mora en Barranca. A juicio de la jerarca, para las familias beneficiadas, contar con casa propia con las condiciones sanitarias requeridas, ha sido un factor clave para darles mayor protección, seguridad y calidad de vida a igual número de familias, en tiempos de una pandemia como la que actualmente vive el país por el Covid-19. “Ahora, familias que anteriormente vivían compartiendo áreas reducidas en asentamientos informales o compartiendo cuartos con familiares, cuentan con condiciones más seguras, una estructura adecuada y espacios suficientes”, agregó la ministra. Por su parte, Dagoberto Hidalgo, Gerente General del BANHVI, coincidió en que “en medio de una pandemia como la que vivimos, las casas que estamos entregando actualmente representan un factor clave para disminuir el riesgo de propagación de la enfermedad, ya que tienen agua potable garantizada, adecuados sistemas de evacuación de aguas residuales y evitan el hacinamiento”.
