The subjects made contact with the RCMP on their own and SAR was stood down on their 2nd day of searching. 24 14:28 CTL LAND 1 11 1 11 COSAR members responded to a female with 190362 an injured ankle off of Lakeshore Rd. Team was able to successfully bring the patient out where they were passed to BCAS for transport. 24 15:31 VIR LAND 1 15 1 15 Comox Valley SAR members responded to a 190363 missing dementia patient in the Black Creek area. The subject was located and safely returned back to her residence. 24 17:01 CTL INLAND 2 6 2 6 Kelowna Fire Marine Rescue and Peachland Fire 190364 WATER Rescue members responded to an ultralight aircraft that went down in . The occupants were rescued and taken to shore by passing boaters. 25 02:47 SWE LAND 1 4 1 4 Hope SAR members responded to an RCMP 190365 request for assistance in locating a potentially injured male involved in an MVI in the Boston Bar area. SAR was stood down after RCMP conducted a K9 search of the area which yielded negative results. 25 11:39 CTL LAND 1 5 1 5 RCMSAR/Shuswap Rescue 1 and Shuswap SAR 190366 members responded to an individual suffering from chest pains at Seymour Arm on north of Sicamous. The patient was rescued and transferred to BCAS. 25 16:07 CTL INLAND 4 4 Kelowna Fire Rescue Marine Unit members 190367 WATER responded to a half submerged tugboat on Okanagan Lake. The crew was stood down as the tug was only releasing water over the side. 25 17:46 CTL INLAND 3 3 Peachland Marine Rescue members responded 190368 WATER to a report of possible boaters in distress on Okanagan Lake half way across the lake from Drought Hill. The boaters were not in distress, and Marine Rescue was stood down. 26 12:36 CTL INLAND 2 12 2 12 Penticton Fire Department and Naramata Fire 190369 WATER Rescue members responded to an over turned sailboat 1/4 mile off shore in Okanagan Lake near Naramata. Boaters were successfully rescued and brought to shore. 26 16:09 CTL LAND 1 12 1 12 COSAR members responded to locate a 190370 dementia patient that wandered away from a care facility on Davie Road. The patient was located in good spirits by a family friend who transported patient back to care facility. 26 19:52 SWE LAND 1 4 1 4 Ridge Meadows SAR responded for an injured 190371 mountain biker in the BCIT Wood Lot in Maple Ridge. SAR was able to transport patient to the parking lot where his parents then transported him to the hospital. 26 20:16 CTL INLAND 1 5 1 5 Naramata Fire Rescue members respond to a 190372 WATER marine rescue with a stranded kite boarder on Okanagan Lake. The subject was rescued by people on scene. 26 21:08 VIR LAND 1 60 1 60 Cowichan Valley SAR, Metchosin SAR, 190373 Ladysmith SAR, Juan De Fuca SAR, PEMO SAR, Campbell River SAR and Nanaimo SAR members responded to locate a hiker who went missing in the Heather Mountain area. The subject was located and transported to hospital. 27 09:40 SWE LAND 1 1 1 1 Whistler SAR member responded to a BCAS 190374 request for a hiker with leg cramps on Cinder Cone Mountain. Subject was able to walk out once subject re-hydrated. 27 13:26 NEA LAND 1 2 1 2 Robson Valley SAR members responded for an 190375 injured hiker 7 km up the Berg Lake Trail on . The patient was packaged and delivered to BCAS in OK condition. 27 16:33 SEA LAND 1 15 1 15 Rossland SAR and Nelson SAR members 190376 responded to assist with a forestry worker that had fallen and sustained a lower leg injury on a vegetation plot/silviculture plot near Casio. The patient was rescued and turned over to BCAS in OK condition. 27 13:19 SWE LAND 1 8 1 8 Kent Harrison SAR members responded to assist 190377 the RCMP search for a 12 Y/O who left a campsite at Hicks Lake in Sasquatch Park. SAR stood down by RCMP, as subject located okay. 28 16:08 SEA LAND 1 4 1 4 Columbia Valley SAR members responded to 190378 rescue an injured ATV rider near Foresters Landing Road in Radium Hot Springs. BCAS made contact with subject and arrived on scene therefore SAR was stood down enroute. 28 23:33 SWE LAND 1 57 1 57 Squamish SAR, Coquitlam SAR, Pemberton 190379 SAR, Lions Bay SAR and North Shore Rescue members responded for a missing dirt biker on Chance Creek FSR near Squamish. The subject's dirt bike was located damaged and bloody. Subject had been found later walking out from an adjacent valley, with no recollection of having been in an accident. 29 09:18 NEA LAND 1 2 1 2 Robson Valley SAR members responded to an 190380 injured hiker in Mount Robson Park. SAR was able to locate subject who was then flown out and later taken to hospital by their spouse. 29 09:56 CTL LAND 1 19 1 19 Vernon SAR members responded to a BCAS 190381 request to assist an injured mountain biker in Kalamalka Lake Park. The patient was packaged and transported out and transferred to BCAS. 29 10:13 SWE LAND 1 5 1 5 North Shore Rescue members responded to a 190382 BCAS request to assist a mountain biker with a head injury on the Bottle Top MTB Trail. BCAS accessed the patient and SAR was stood down en route. 29 12:00 SEA LAND 1 12 1 12 South Columbia SAR and Rossland SAR 190383 members responded to rescue an injured mountain biker from the Cherry Ridge area outside of Rossland. The subject was packaged and transported out and handed over to BCAS. 29 15:22 CTL INLAND 4 7 4 7 Naramata FD and Penticton FD members 190384 WATER responded to a boat which had overturned 200' from shore, with several people in the water of Okanagan Lake. The subjects were removed from the water and one was sent to hospital. 29 16:21 CTL LAND 1 19 1 19 South Cariboo SAR members responded to an 190385 RCMP request to locate a missing 56 Y/O with special needs. Subject was located and brought home in OK condition. 29 17:23 SWE LAND 2 1 2 1 Whistler SAR member responded to an RCMP 190386 request to locate 2 missing hikers on Rainbow Mountain. Subjects found their way back to their vehicle. 29 17:56 SEA INLAND 1 8 1 8 Kimberley SAR members responded to an 190387 WATER overdue jet ski operator on Koocanusa Lake. The subject was located, so SAR was stood down while mustering. 29 18:45 SWE LAND 1 9 1 9 Lions Bay SAR members responded to a RCMP 190388 request with a lost hiker. The hiker was located and extracted via helicopter. 29 20:03 VIR LAND 1 17 1 17 Campbell River SAR members responded to an 190389 injured hiker near Gold River. Hiker was found deceased and extracted. 29 20:30 VIR LAND 1 1 1 1 Campbell River SAR member responded for a 190390 missing hiker with dementia in Port Hardy. The subject was located, so SAR was stood down immediately. 29 20:50 NWE LAND 1 5 1 5 Terrace SAR members responded for an injured 190391 quad rider in Thornhill near Terrace. The patient was transferred to BCAS for transport to hospital. 30 00:22 NWE LAND 1 4 1 4 Fort St. James SAR and Nechako Valley SAR 190392 members responded for a missing mushroom picker, in the Tachie area of Fort St. James. The subject was located by RCMP, so SAR was stood down. 30 01:59 CTL INLAND 1 4 1 4 RCMSAR Shuswap 1 members responded for a 190393 WATER male with a dislocated shoulder on Neilson Beach, Sicamous. The patient was handed over to BCAS. 30 09:46 SWE LAND 1 13 1 13 Lions Bay SAR and North Shore Rescue 190394 members responded to an injured hiker on the West Lions Trail. Subject was extricated from the area via helicopter and passed to BCAS. 30 13:07 SWE LAND 1 5 1 5 Squamish SAR members responded to a 190395 mountain biker with a lower leg injury on the Fred Mountain Bike Trail. Subject was handed over to BCAS. 30 13:19 SWE LAND 4 20 3 1 20 Hope SAR and Chilliwack SAR members 190396 responded to rescue an injured climber in the area of Yak Peak near the Coquihalla Summit. Subject was declared deceased by BCAS and SAR performed extraction of the deceased subject. 30 13:37 SWE LAND 1 10 1 10 North Shore Rescue members responded to a 190397 BCAS request to rescue a hiker who had fallen and sustained a head injury. Subject was brought out by helicopter with severe injuries but still alive. 30 14:00 SWE LAND 1 8 1 8 Kent Harrison SAR members responded to a 190398 BCAS report of a vehicle over the bank on the Harrison East FSR. BCAS arrived on scene before SAR and was able to access the subject. SAR stood down en route. 30 15:30 SWE INLAND 1 12 1 12 Ridge Meadows SAR members responded to 190399 WATER locate an overdue canoeist on Alouette Lake. Subject was located by RCMP and SAR stood down. 30 16:40 VIR LAND 1 14 1 14 Nanaimo SAR members responded to a BCAS 190400 request to rescue an injured 14 Y/O male who had fallen and hit his head on the Pink Unicorn Biking Trail in the Nanaimo area. Subject was turned over to BCAS in OK condition, and transported via air ambulance. 30 16:40 SWE LAND 1 7 1 7 North Shore Rescue members responded to an 190401 RCMP request to locate a missing climber in Lynn Headwaters Park. Subject self rescued. 30 18:17 SWE LAND 6 6 North Shore Rescue members responded to an 190402 RCMP request to investigate several repeated whistle blasts reported by a hiker near Lynn Peak North. SAR believes the sound was a 'Varied Thrush' bird call, not a person. 30 18:18 SWE LAND 2 12 2 12 Ridge Meadows SAR members responded to a 190403 BCAS request for 2 hikers that have fallen off of a waterfall in Maple Ridge. Team was successful in locating and bringing the subjects out alive and well where they were passed to BCAS for assessment. 30 18:53 SWE LAND 1 20 1 20 Coquitlam SAR members responded to BCAS 190404 request to assist a female at the top of Mount Beautiful and is now too scared to climb down as she is afraid of heights. Team was successful in rescuing the subject and bringing her out of the area. 30 18:56 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 Sunshine Coast SAR members responded to a 190405 BCAS request for a report of a drowning subject at Ruby Lake. SAR stood down by BCAS as their helicopter can land next to the subject. 30 19:03 SWE LAND 1 8 1 8 Hope SAR members responded to an RCMP 190406 request to locate a missing despondent male at a camping area adjacent to Caroline Mine. Subject returned to his campsite and was in no way despondent. 30 19:35 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 Ridge Meadows SAR members are responding 190407 to BCAS request to bring an injured hiker out from the West Canyon Trail in Golden Ears Park where they were found with a swollen leg and cuts. 4 SAR members were dropped by helicopter near the location with equipment and shortly afterwards the subject walked into the parking lot. 30 19:54 SWE LAND 2 4 2 4 Ridge Meadows SAR members are responding to 190408 RCMP request to search for a couple of missing hikers near Alouette Lake in Golden Ears Park. DANGEROUS GOODS

On 24 June 2019, a contractor was working in an upstairs section of a building on Osprey Avenue in Kelowna, using xylene. The material, heavier than air, migrated to the business below. Several people were sent to hospital complaining of light headedness and nausea and the building was evacuated. This incident was raised to Code 2 (urgent status) by the Ministry of Environment Response Officer. Interior Health took xylene readings and stated that the residents could safely return, and turned back the commercial space to the strata to work with WSBC about employees returning to work.

INTERFACE FIRES

On 25 June 2019, a wildfire in the Cecil Hill area of Pender Harbour (V50714) resulted in the Sunshine Coast Regional District activating their EOC. The fire impacted Cell/Radio towers which remain on back-up generators, and threatened other infrastructure in the vicinity while moving towards the community. An evacuation alert was issued for 7 homes, and was rescinded the following day.

ROCKSLIDE

On 29 June 2019, a rockslide incident was opened impacting the 4km upstream from the Big Bar Ferry in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District. The 2 lead agencies are DFO and FLNRO who are developing an action plan. There is a concern for salmon migration.

MISCELLANEOUS

On 28 June 2019, a large structure fire at the Bella Coola Packer building threatened nearby infrastructure with the possibility of evacuations being needed. The Central Coast Regional District opened their EOC to level 1 to conduct pre-planning in support of the incident.

On 29 June 2019, New Denver Fire Rescue responded by boat for a woman that fell down near Enterprise Creek, New Denver. RCMP requested fire to respond as there are no local SAR teams in the immediate area.
