Dogs must be kept on the lead within the show precinct unless in a designated exercise area. When using the exercise area, please be considerate to other competitors and their dogs.

DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE -. Royal Cornwall Showground is situated one mile west of Wadebridge on the A39 between Wadebridge and St Columb Major. ELIGIBILITY FOR CLASSES

In the following definitions of classes First Prizes or other prize wins are those gained in standard classes at any Kennel Club licensed Open Agility Shows (i.e. Limited Agility Shows, special classes and invitation events excepted). Only a first place with a clear round within course time will count towards grade progression.

Agility classes to include contact points and Jumping classes where there are no contact obstacles. With this proviso classes are defined as follows:-

Class Structure. A Class may either be held as a Graded Class or a Combined Class. A Graded Class may be scheduled for one or more consecutive Grades with separate results and awards issued for each grade. A Combined Class may be scheduled for more than one consecutive grade with one overall set of results.

Progression. Progression from each Grade will require one Agility win or three Jumping wins at that grade, except that progression from Grade 6 will require 4 wins at Grade 6, two of which must be agility classes. Results from Combined Classes will only count towards progression from the dog’s current grade.

Points Progression. At the handler’s discretion a dog may progress up to Grade 5 by winning 75 points at each grade, using the Agility Warrant points scheme (Regulation K3.c refers), except that there is no requirement for a minimum number of agility points. If this method of progression is selected, the handler must ensure the Show Secretary signs the dog’s Agility Record Book at the first show entered at the higher grade. There is no time limit on this progression, however once a dog has progressed, it cannot return to a previous grade.

STANDARD CLASSES Only first prizes and points gained in standard classes at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows may be used for progression through the classes ( A dog is only eligible for one grade) In defining the eligibility of the owner or handler for Grade 1. The three jumping wins and points progression referred to in the definition apply only to one dog and not an accumulation of dogs

Grade 1 (ELEMENTARY) For owners, handlers or dogs which have not gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping classes at Kennel Club licensed agility shows. N.B. OWNERS,HANDLERS OR DOGS PREVIOUSLY QUALIFIED OUT OF GRADE 1 (ELEMENTARY) ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS CLASS

Grade 2 (STARTERS) Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grades 1,3,4,5,6,7 but have not gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping classes at Grade 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 1 at Kennel Club licensed agility shows. N.B. OWNERS,HANDLERS OR DOGS PREVIOUSLY QUALIFIED OUT OF GRADE 2 ( STARTERS) ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS CLASS

Grade 3 (GRADUATE) Open to dogs which are not eligible for grade 1 or 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 2 at Kennel Club licensed agility shows and dogs which are not eligible for grade 4,5,6,or 7.

Grade 4 (NOVICE) Open to dogs having which have gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping classes at grade 3 or elected to progress from Grade 3 at Kennel Club licensed agility shows and dogs which are not eligible for grade 3,5,6,or 7.

Grade 5 ( INTERMEDIATE) Open to dogs having which have gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping classes at Grade 4 or elected to progress from Grade 4 at kennel club licensed agility shows and dogs which are not eligible for grade 3,4,6,or 7.

Grade 6 (SENIOR) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an agility class or three first places at Grade 5 at Kennel Club licensed agility shows and dogs which are not eligible for grade 3,4,5,or 7.

Grade 7 (ADVANCED) Open to dogs which have gained a minimum of 4 first places at Grade 6 at kennel club licensed agility shows, 2 first places must be gained in agility(not jumping ) classes

GRADE CHANGES Attention is drawn to Regulation 20, any changes MUST be made at least 14 days before the date of the show, to either iSS or to [email protected] The dog will then be moved into the appropriate class(es) for the next grade.The dog must be moved into corresponding number of classes as were entered at the lower grade If there are fewer or no classes available for the next grade the competitor should be offered a refund of the relevant entry fees. RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Dogs entered at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows must be registered at the Kennel Club in accordance with Kennel Club Regulations for Classification and Registration B,or else registration or transfer of registration must have been applied for. The registration number/Authority to Compete number will be required for each entry 2. ENTRY FEES: £2.80 per dog per class . 3. The show management reserves to itself the right to refuse entries. 4. All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the competition can be made. All overseas entries made without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/Competitor. 5. Dogs under eighteen calendar months of age on the first day of the Show are not eligible for Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows. 6. Not For Competition entries will be accepted for dogs aged four calendar months and over. Dogs must be Kennel Club registered with their details recorded on the entry form. 7. The height of jump obstacles for Special Anysize Jumping - Large and Medium jump height 350mm Small dogs jump height 250mm or less. Special Veteran Jumping - Large dog jump height 450mm, Medium dog jump height 350mm, Small dog jump weight 250mm or less 8. No bitch in season is allowed to compete. 9. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time within the boundaries of the Show. 10. Dogs must not wear any type of slip, half-slip collar or lead when under test. A flat, close fitting, leather or webbing collar is permitted, providing the only attachment is a plain identification panel as an integral part of the collar i.e. not attached by a ring. 11. Should a Judge be unable to fulfil the appointment to judge the Committee reserves the right to appoint another Judge. 12. No competitor shall impugn the decision of the Judge or Judges. 13. Kennel Club Standard Marking Regulations will apply. 14. Those dogs eligible to compete in competitions for Large dogs are those measuring over 430mm (1ft 5ins) at the withers. 15. Those dogs eligible to compete in competitions for Medium dogs are those measuring over 350mm (1ft 1.7ins) and those measuring 430mm (1ft 5ins) or under at the withers. 16. Those dogs eligible to compete in competitions for Small dogs are those measuring 350mm (1ft 1.75ins) or under at the withers. 17. A Judge at an Agility Show may not enter for competition a dog which is recorded in his or her ownership or part ownership; or handle a dog at the Show at which they are judging. Dogs will be disqualified if proved to have been handled by the scheduled judge’s spouse or immediate family, or resident at the same address as the scheduled judge. 18. Withdrawal of dogs from competition: A dog shall be withdrawn from competition and removed from an Agility Show if it is:- a) A bitch which is in season. b) Suffering from any infectious or contagious disease. c) Interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent d) Of such temperament or is so much out of hand as to be a danger to the safety of any person or other animal. e) Likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues to compete. 19. The Show management will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury however caused to dogs, persons or property whilst at the Show. 20. In estimating the number of awards won, all wins up to and including 25 days before the the start of the competition (12 th MARCH 2012 ) shall be counted when entering a class. For these purposes a competition shall be defined as all classes covered within the same schedule. In the event that a dog becomes eligible for the next grade at a particular show, after the entry for that show has been sent, it is the competitor’s responsibility to notify the show secretary at least 14 days before the date of the show. The dog will then be moved into the appropriate class(es) for the next grade. The dog must be moved into corresponding number of classes as were entered at the lower grade. If there are fewer or no classes available for the next grade the competitor should be offered a refund of the relevant entry fees. 21. Should circumstances so dictate, the Society, in consultation with the Judges, may alter arrangements as necessary. Such changes and the circumstances surrounding them shall be reported to the Kennel Club. 22. No dog suffering from any infectious or contagious disease or having been exposed to such disease during the period of 21 days prior to the Competition may compete. Competitors infringing this Regulation will be liable to be fined and/or dealt with under Kennel Club Rule A42. 23. No animal other than one officially entered shall be brought into the precincts of the event during its continuance, except any dogs registered to assist the disabled, or dogs required for educational or instructional purposes or by permission of the General Committee. However, at the discretion of the show management, a dog brought to the show by a spectator may be admitted into the precincts of the show, with the proviso that those in charge of the dog sign a declaration confirming.the dog is free from disease and that the dog will be kept under proper control 24. In the event that the show is cancelled due to unforseen circumstances,the club will refund fees,less reasonably incurred expenses,on receipt of a stamped addressed envelope submitted within one month of the show date. 25. Separate entry forms must be completed by each owner and must be signed by the owner and acceptance of the entry declaration must be given in accordance with the provisions specified thereon. Entries will not be accepted without the correct fees or acceptance of the entry declaration. Entries will only be accepted on Kernow k9 official Entry Forms (or photocopies). Internet entries will be accepted via www.ishowservices.com . Entries submitted on any other Form will be returned. 26. Should the judge deem a re-run is required, any result and/or faults gained in the previous run must be discounted. 27. It is the competitor’s responsibility to be available for their class and running order. Competitors must run as close to their running order as possible. Failure to do so may be reported to the Kennel Club. 28. No refunds will be given on incorrect entries.Nor after closing date,unless covered by rule 24. 29. If you fail to clean up after your dogs, you will be asked to leave the venue. 30. A practice ring may be available to dogs entered for competition at the show, if space allows.This ring must be supervised by a responsible adult with agility knowledge 31. There will be a pay on the day if time allows 32. Food shall not be carried in the hand or given to a dog in the ring. 33. An exhibitor (or competitor) whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not knowingly put their dogs’ health and welfare at risk by any, action, default, omission or otherwise. A breach of this Regulation may be refered to the General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. 35. There will be a certified photographer/video cameraman on site taking photo’s/vidioes of competitors. it is up to the individual competitor to make it known that they do not wish themselves to be photographed or videoed before they run.

DOGS IN CARS ON HOT DAYS. Your dog is vulnerable and AT RISK if left in a vehicle in high temperatures and even on days considered as slighty warm. Please take care of your dog. If you dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused.

In accordance with Kennel Club Rules, large dogs who have not competed before 1 st January 2006 and ALL Small and Medium dogs MUST have been officially measured before competing at a Kennel Club licensed agility show. Record books may be inspected at the request of the Judge or show management

THE KENNEL CLUB OLYMPIA AGILITY STAKES REGULATIONS 2012 Supported by GWF Joint Aid for Dogs

All events must be judged under the appropriate Kennel Club regulations H & H(1) in force at the time of the event. Competitors entering any competition will be deemed to have agreed to abide by these regulations.

All heats must take place at Kennel Club licensed shows and the class name in the schedule should replicate exactly the name of the competition as stated in these regulations.

All Kennel Club supported competitions should be judged using standard marking.

If the entry for the heat exceeds the Kennel Club limit for a judge in a day, then the class will be equally split and another judge appointed for the second part. Qualifiers and reserves from that heat will be taken in equal proportion from each part, giving the total number originally required from that heat (except where individual competition rules state differently). Rosettes and awards remain unchanged if the heat is split.

Dogs entered in any heats must be eligible for the competition entered and judges retain the right to check the height of any dog or ask to see the height stated in the Kennel Club Record Book.

Competitors can qualify for any Olympia final but it must be with different dogs. The first final a handler qualifies a dog for will be the final that particular dog competes in at Olympia.

(These rules would be amended if any changes are made to Kennel Club agility regulations during the course of the competition year).

THE KENNEL CLUB OLYMPIA LARGE DOG AGILITY STAKES Supported by GWF Joint Aid for Dogs

Competitors may enter more than one dog in a heat. Competitors may qualify more than one dog for a semi-final. Only one dog may qualify for the final (the first dog qualified at the semi-final). Once a dog has qualified for the final/semi-final, further heats may be entered for competition although any placings in these further heats will not affect the dog’s eligibility for the final/semi finals.

The first five previously unqualified placed dogs from each heat will go forward to one of the two semi-finals at the City of Birmingham show at Stoneleigh. The first eighteen dogs from each semi-final will qualify for the final at Olympia.

The 36 dogs who qualify for Olympia will be invited to compete in a further semi final at Olympia. The top ten highest placed dogs in the Olympia semi final will qualify for the evening grand final at Olympia. Those dogs eligible to compete in competition for Large dogs are those measuring over 430 mm (1 foot 5 inches) at the withers.

This competition will be classified as combined Grade 6 and 7 and judged under the Kennel Club regulations for standard classes.

THE KENNEL CLUB OLYMPIA LARGE DOG NOVICE AGILITY STAKES Supported by GWF Joint Aid for Dogs

This competition will be classified as combined Grades 3, 4 and 5 and judged under the Kennel Club regulations for standard classes.

Dogs should be eligible to enter a Grade 3, 4 or 5 class at the time of qualifying for the semi-final. Any subsequent wins gained by the dog will not alter its eligibility to compete in the semi-final or final.

Competitors may enter more than one dog in a heat and may qualify more than one dog for the semi-finals. Handlers may only qualify one dog for the final which will be the highest placed dog at the semi-final. Once a dog has qualified for the semi-final/final, further heats may be entered for competition although any placings in these further heats will not affect the dog’s eligibility for the final/semi finals.

This competition will be classified as combined Grades 1 to 7 and judged under the Kennel Club regulations for standard classes.

The first two previously unqualified placed dogs will be invited from each heat to compete in the semi-finals which will be held at the City of Birmingham Championship Dog Show at Stoneleigh. The first ten highest placed dogs at the semi-final will be invited to compete in the finals to be held at Olympia.

Those dogs eligible to compete in Medium dog competition are those measuring over 350 mm (1 foot 1¾ inches) and those measuring 430 mm (1 foot 5 inches) or under at the withers and eligible to compete in combined Grades 1 to 7 for Medium dogs.

The Purina PRO PLAN Agility Challenge Series 2012

Rules & Regulations

1. The PRO PLAN Agility Challenge Series will consist of three qualifying agility events the Starters Challenge, for Grades 1 & 2 combined; the Novice challenge for Grades 3,4 & 5 combined; and, the Masters Challenge for Grades 6 & 7 combined. 2. The Starters, Novice & Masters Challenge heats will be for all heights (Small, Medium & Large) and will be run over an agility course. 3. The PRO PLAN Challenge Series (heats and series final) will be judged under the appropriate Kennel Club Rules in force at the time of the running of the show. 4. Dogs & handlers must be eligible to enter a class for the Grade 1 or 2 combined (Starters Challenge), for Grade 3, 4 or 5 combined (Novice Challenge), for Grade 6 or 7 (Masters Challenge) at the time of qualifying for the respective final. Any subsequent wins or qualifications gained by the dog or handler will not alter their eligibility to compete in the final for which they have qualified. 5. Classes for individual heats (e.g. the Novice Agility Challenge) may be split but only on reaching a total entry of 300 dogs. 6. The first two previously unqualified placed dogs from each heat will go forward to the PRO PLAN Agility Challenge series finale to be held at Moulton College, Northamptonshire, on Saturday 29th October 2012. 7. Competitors may enter more than one dog in a series heat, however a handler may only qualify one dog per height category for each of the Starters, Novice, or Masters Challenge finals. 8. Handlers may only qualify a dog for either the Starters, Novice or Masters Challenge. Once qualified for one of the finals a dog will only be eligible for that final, subsequent places in other heats will not count. 9. Handlers who achieve a place in a challenge series heat with a previously qualified dog should inform the Show Secretary of this fact at the time of the show in order that handlers of eligible dogs may be called in as reserves. 10. Once a dog has qualified for the final further heats may be entered for competition; results in these further heats will not affect the dog's eligibility for the final for which they have already qualified. The organisers reserve the right to withhold an invitation to the final.

Approx Ten heats to be held at various Agility shows around the country with the final being held at Severnside Open Agility Show – 30 th June 2012. HEATS

The first three placed dogs in each heat will be invited to go forward to the Final.

A Heat will be a Combined Grades 1 & 2 Large Dogs Agility. If a heat needs to be split, prizes will be offered in each part, with the first three placed dogs in each part being invited to go forward for the Final.

1st Prize – Trophy, Rosette and 1X 12kg Bag of Dog Food 2nd Prize – Trophy, Rosette and 1X 4kg Bag of Dog Food 3rd Prize – Trophy, Rosette and 1X 2kg Tub of Dog Food 4th – 10 th Rosettes (or 10% of entry whichever is greater)

Annual Agility Starters Cup Rules & Regulations • Eligibility for competition is under the Kennel Club classification and is open to dogs Working Grades One and Two Large Dog Agility. • The competition must be judged under the appropriate Kennel Club Rules in force at the time of the event. • Competitors entering the competition must be deemed to have agreed to abide by those Rules and Regulations • Competitors may qualify more than one dog for the Final. • Each heat is open to all competitors eligible for Grades 1 & 2 Large Dogs. • Qualifiers may enter further heats for competition, providing they are still eligible for Grades 1 & 2. • Handlers who gain a place in a heat with a previously qualified dog should inform the Colimanor representative on the day of the show of this fact. • The competition will consist of approx’10 heats with the first 3 placed dogs from each heat going through to the final. In the event of someone qualifying more than once for the final, the next placed eligible dog will be taken from the appropriate heat. • Should someone be unable to attend the Final the next placed eligible Dog may be invited at the sponsor’s discretion • Surrogate Handlers will not be allowed. • We reserve the right to publish any photos of the events, dogs & handlers in our promotional material without obligation.
