Amongst the exhibits in the center are articles relating to the journey of Cap- tain William Clark and his detachment, including Sacagawea and her son Pomp, down the Yellowstone River Valley in 1806. There are also displays on the native culture, flora and fauna, the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and the historical legacy of Pompeys Pillar through the changes of the 1800s. The one-half mile road to the site is now paved. Bring a picnic lunch. Fees There is a $7 entrance fee charged per vehicle. There is no separate fee for the For More Information: interpretive center.
