Spiritual Warfare Pt 6 Change of Plans Last Week We Studied About The Spiritual Warfare pt 6 Change of Plans Last week we studied about the Tower of Babel, and Nimrod, who found a way through his worship of False God's, and his distain of God, to re-introduce the Nephilim DNA back into mankind. God had no choice but to slow the spread of the corruption so He scattered mankind across the world and confused his language in order to slow the corruption of mankind, and keep the bloodline of Abraham pure. This morning I want to go from there to Satan's Change of Plans. Friends all of what we are studying is not just for the fun of studying, it is important to our lives, and could be the reason some of us are seeing defeat in the battles of our lives. Without the understanding of what's going on in the Spiritual War, you and I cannot be effective in the Spiritual Battles in our own lives. I know it's easier to just accept Jesus, and just go along with everything to a safe degree until it's all over, but living a defeated life just because you don't want to get involved is not what God has planned for you. So if you don't get involved in the battle, at least within the confines' of your own life, then you are telling God NO! I won't do it. So Let's Begin: Satan's plan to corrupt the human genome so that the Messiah could not come into the world, has hit a snag, called God. Since man has been scattered and their language confused, Satan had to rethink his plan. He could no longer just hope to corrupt the blood line, he had to get more physical. Here is a list of some of the attempts by Satan to keep the Messiah from coming to end Satan's reign. * Plans to kill Abraham from whom the Messiah would come. Genesis 12 and 20 * Extreme famine in Canaan. Genesis 41 * Destruction of the male Hebrew line in Exodus 1 * Pharaoh's change of mind pursuit in Exodus 14 * Populating Canaan with Giants * Haman's nearly successful plan to kill all Jewish people in Ester 3 * Josephs fears to marry Mary in Matthew 1 * Herod's murder of all males under the age of two in Matthew 2 * The attempt to throw Jesus off a cliff in Luke 4:28-29 * Two violent storms at sea in Mark 4 and Luke 8 * The crucifixion of Jesus. Satan tried at every time possible to either stop Jesus or to kill him so that he could not fulfill the prophecies given by God regarding the Messiah. But none of it worked, because God sealed the fate of Satan's attempts by Prophesying about Jesus. Because God's prophecies always come to pass, so God spoke Jesus into existence and His mission would succeed. So Jesus came and made it to the cross through all Satan's attempts to stop him. So now what, what is Satan's plan in this Spiritual War? The cross changed everything Hebrews 2:14 (KJV) 14 Forasmuch then as the children (we) are partakers of flesh and blood, he (Jesus) also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he (Jesus) might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Satan's power over mankind is diminishing, so Satan has to change his Spiritual War Plans. So Satan decided that since he can't stop Jesus, he will turn his wrath upon two groups of people. The Jewish people, and The Church of Jesus Christ. If he can't stop Jesus and His plan for the salvation of mankind, he can at least persecute those who find Jesus and maybe stop as many as he can from seeing the light of salvation. Saul develops a plan to destroy the followers of Christ, the Christians. Acts 8:1,3 (KJV) 1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Jesus cancels Satan's plan to use Saul to persecute the church, on an old dirt road between Jerusalem and Damascus. Satan comes against all the disciples, causing each to be martyred, but the church continued to grow. The Jewish people are scattered all over the earth, and Satan blinds their minds to who Jesus really was. Jewish people are persecuted all over the world. In WWII Satan working through Hitler almost annihilates the entire Jewish Race, but God uses the United States to turn the tide of the War and sparing a remnant of the Jewish People. In 1948 Israel becomes a nation, and they are immediately attacked by 6 different countries. In June of 1967 Egypt Ceria and Jordan declare war on Israel in what came to be known as the 6 day war. As the church continues to grow, it fractures and becomes many churches believing many different things. There is much persecution of the believers of Jesus by those who have made a religion out of not believing in Jesus. Satan has achieved some success in erasing Jesus name from many Churches, and making Salvation much more difficult for those who are mislead. Satan continues to use technology to dilute the power of Jesus among the people, and this coupled with his deception has stunted the growth of the church. So it seems Satan has gained some success in the Spiritual War against God's people. The Jewish people are "as a whole" not believers in Jesus and what He came to do on the cross, thus they are not beneficiaries of the Inheritance. The church is so fractured today, that the power and authority of Jesus is so watered down, that its effectiveness has diminished to the point that the miracles are rarely seen in the church of the 21 century. It seems that in this 21 century of this fallen world Satan once again has wreak havoc on God's plan, but in the past God used a flood to gain the upper hand, then He scattered the people and their language all over the world to regain the upper hand. What will God do today, that will counter Satan's plans, how will God once again wreak havoc on Satan's plans? God's Plan God has met with His divine council, and He laid out a plan for this spiritual war that will change the trajectory of the war forever. This is going to be a military operation of such magnitude that the world has never seen anything like it. This operation will involve an angelic army the size of which no warfare has ever seen. The planning has to be down to the millisecond, and the secrecy is so tight that only God knows when it will begin. It is however talked about in scripture. 1 Corinthians 15:51-57 (KJV) 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Reading this and knowing what we've learned about the Spiritual War can't you see how this is another human history changing event planned by God. It's not a flood, it's not confusing or scattering, but it is going to be an enormous event that will change the world forever. In the divine council meeting Michael the Arch Angel in charge of God's army is told that to begin this operation he will sound the Trumpet. 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV) 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of So Michael Sounds the Trumpet that starts this military operation, but first I want you to realize where this operation occurs. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: Why is that so important, that this covert operation in this 6 thousand year Spiritual War is to be carried out by God's Angelic Army IN THE AIR!!! According to Ephesians 2:2 Satan is the "prince of the power of the air". This special ops operation lead by Michael the Arch Angel is to be carried out right in the enemies stronghold. God is sending his troops on this largest military operation ever carried out by the Angelic Forces right into the enemies camp, and He's taking back what belongs to HIM.

  • There Was a Time When Jews Lived in a Country Called Persia Which Was Ruled by King Xerxes
There was a time when Jews lived in a country called Persia which was ruled by King Xerxes. The king had a beautiful queen named Vashti who he wished to show off to all the men in his court. Vashti refused to be shown off by the king and, full of fury at being disobeyed, he decided to find a new queen to replace her. Esther was a young and very beautiful Jewish orphan who had been brought up as a daughter by her cousin Mordecai. The king decided that Esther, out of all the women in his kingdom should be his new queen. Mordecai instructed her to not reveal that she was a Jew. Sitting at the king’s gate one day, Mordecai overheard two palace officers plotting to kill King Xerxes. He sent a warning to King Xerxes and saved his life. Because of this, Mordecai’s name was written in the Royal Record Book. Mordecai had an enemy close to the king named Haman. Haman disliked Mordecai because he refused to bow to him whenever Haman passed by. Mordecai would only bow to God. Haman was so angry with Mordecai that he tricked the king into passing a law that on a certain date Mordecai and all the other Jews in Persia would be put to death! It was very dangerous for Esther to approach the king without his permission, but Mordecai told her she had been put close to the king by God, especially to save the Jews. Esther came up with a plan and invited the king and Haman to a banquet the next day.

It was a hard time. The First Beit Hamikdash in Yerushalaim had been destroyed and lay in ruins. The Jews had been driven out of Israel, and exiled to Babylon, where they had to start a new life. For 70 years, they struggled to make a living in a foreign land. פרק א' CHAPTER 1 -- KING ACHASHVEROSH THROWS A PARTY 1. Queen Vashti refuses the king's request to appear at the celebration and display her beauty for the assembled guests. Achashverosh has her killed 3. The king's advisors suggest that Vashti be replaced with a new queen. Achashveirosh was a powerful king of Persia. It was the largest kingdom in the world The prophecies of Yirmiyahu Hanavi - that the exile would end, and that the Beit Hamikdash would be rebuilt did not seem to be happening. Sadly, the Jews wondered if they would ever return to Yerushalaim, and their homes in the Holy Land. King Achashveirosh made a huge feast. He miscalculated the 70 years and thought that the Jews would never be able to return to Eretz Yisroel.

The Church of St. Raphael the Archangel Lexington, Kentucky Sermon for Michaelmas ~ September 30. 2012 The Reverend Ronald D. Pogue I was somewhat relieved when Fr. Johnnie told me that today we would be using the propers for the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels instead of the Sunday propers. I had been struggling to develop a sermon about faithful stewardship from the Sunday propers, which tell us about King Ahasuerus hanging Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai in response to the report of Queen Esther, James’ advice regarding anointing the sick and forgiving sins, and instructions from Jesus about cutting off hands and feet and plucking out eyes when those organs cause us to sin. Perhaps you wonder why I was relieved. You may find yourselves asking, “What do angels have to do with stewardship?” That question certainly occurred to me. And, after some careful consideration of the readings, it occurred to me that Angels are all about stewardship! For example, Jacob, the deceitful second-born twin of Isaac and Rebecca, emerged from the womb clinging to the foot of his brother, Esau. Jacob was running for his life when he had that dream in which he saw a ladder connecting heaven and earth with angels ascending and descending. He had deceived his father and cheated his hairy brother Esau out of his birthright. William J.A. Power, an Episcopal Priest and longtime professor at Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, used to refer to Esau and Jacob as “Harry and Grabby.” The story of Jacob is the story of his spiritual and psychological development.

Jewish Holiday Guide Tu B’Shvat 15th day of Shvat “…Just as my ancestors planted for me, so I will plant for my children (Talmud Ta’anit 23a).” Tu B’Shvat is a time when we celebrate the New Year for trees. It falls on the 15th of Shvat in the Hebrew calendar and it is a time for us to focus on our ecological responsibilities and the life cycle of renewal. The very first task that was assigned to humans by God was to care for the environment: ‘God took man and put him into the garden to work it and guard 1 it…’ (Genesis 1:15). In Israel, Tu B’shvat is usually celebrated by planting trees and holding the Tu B’shvat seder. Planting trees is a custom that was first held in 1884 in Israel due to the spiritual significance of the land of Israel and the agricultural emphasis that the Zionist brought with them to Israel. The Tu B’shvat seder is formed out of 4 sections for the 4 worlds as the Kabballah says: • The spiritual world of God represented by fire – Atzilut (nobility) • The physical world of human represented by earth – Assiyah (Doing) • The emotional world represented by air – Briyah (Creation) • The philosophical, thoughtful world represented by water – Yetzirah (Making) Each section of the seder also represents one of the four seasons, and mixtures of red and white wine are drunk in different amounts as a representation of the natural cycle. Tu B’ Shvat Tu Purim 14th day of Adar “The Feast of Lots” Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar, as it celebrates the story of two heroes, Esther and Mordecai, and how their courage and actions saved the Jewish people living in Persia from execution.

About Purim Purim commemorates a time (about 2,300 years ago) when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved by a beautiful and courageous young woman named Esther. The heroes of the story are Esther, a beautiful young Jewish woman living in Persia, and her cousin Mordecai, who raised Esther as his own daughter. One day, Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus of Persia after Queen Vashti was banished for disobedience. Esther was to become part of the king’s harem. However, King Ahasuerus came to love Esther more than his other women, and he made her queen. The king did not know that Esther was a Jew because Mordecai had told her to keep it a secret. Enter the villain, Haman, a vain and arrogant advisor to the king. Angry that Mordecai refused to bow before him, Haman told the king, “There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your realm. Their laws are different from those of every other people’s, and they do not observe the King’s laws; therefore, it is not befitting the King to tolerate them” (Esther 3:8).
