Everything you need in your cocktail making kit: Strainer/ Shot measures/ Bar spoon/ Shaker sieve measuring cup regular spoon Knife Served in a margarita glass Margarita Ingredients / measures 60ml tequila 30ml lime juice 20ml orange liqueur, Garnish: slice of lime e.g. Cointreau or triple sec Preparation Add salt to the rim of your glass. Mix the ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into the glass. Garnish with a slice of lime. Served in a martini glass Espresso Ingredients / measures Martini 50ml vodka 25ml freshly brewed coffee 25ml coffee liqueur, Garnish: 3 coffee beans e.g. Tia Maria or Khalua Preparation Shake the ingredients with ice until cold to touch. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with coffee beans. Mimosa Served in a champagne flute Ingredients / measures 25ml orange juice Garnish: orange wedge and Top with prosecco sprig of lavender Preparation Pour the orange juice into the glass and top up with prosecco. Garnish with an orange wedge and sprig of fresh lavender. TOP TIP To add a cool sunrise effect to your mimosa, add a splash of grenadine once poured. Served in a tall glass Mojito Ingredients / measures 50ml white rum Soda water, to taste 30ml fresh lime juice Handful of mint leaves 1tsp sugar Garnish: a few mint leaves Preparation Crush the mint into the lime juice and sugar in a small jug. Pour into a tall cocktail glass with ice, add the rum, top up with soda water and stir. Garnish with mint leaves. Served in a martini glass Cosmopolitan Ingredients / measures 60ml vodka 30ml cranberry juice 30ml orange liqueur, e.g. Juice of half a lime Cointreau or triple sec Garnish: orange peel Preparation Shake all the ingredients with ice until cold. Serve in a martini glass with a shaving of orange peel. TOP TIP Carefully burn the edges of the orange peel with a lighter over your drink to enhance the flavour. Served in a tall glass Long Island Ingredients / measures Iced Tea 15ml vodka 30ml sugar syrup, e.g. 15ml gin gomme, agave, simple 15ml orange liqueur, e.g. syrup or caster sugar Cointreau or triple sec (as a last resort) 15ml white rum 30ml lemon juice 15ml tequila Cola, to taste Garnish: slice of lemon Preparation Mix all still ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice until cold to touch. Top with cola and garnish with a slice of lemon. Strawberry Served in a martini glass Daiquiri Ingredients / measures 50ml white rum Juice of half a lime 250g strawberries Garnish: strawberry 100g ice cubes and lime slice Preparation Blend the strawberries and strain through a sieve. Then blend again with the other ingredients and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with strawberry and lime slices. TOP TIP If you want to avoid diluting your drink with ice, plan ahead and freeze some fruit to add to your drinks instead! Grapes, blueberries and strawberries are great for this. Served in a champagne flute Bellini Ingredients / measures 25ml peach purée Top with prosecco Garnish: peach slice Preparation Pour the peach purée into a champagne flute and top with prosecco. Garnish with a slice of peach. Served in a tall glass Elderflower Collins Ingredients / measures 50ml gin 10ml elderflower cordial 20ml lemon juice Top with soda water 10ml sugar syrup, e.g. Garnish: rosemary sprig gomme, agave, simple syrup or caster sugar (as a last resort) Preparation Shake the gin with the lemon, sugar and elderflower cordial. Pour over rock ice in a tall glass and lengthen with the soda. Served in a balloon glass SPAR’S G&G Ingredients / measures Cocktail 50ml rhubarb & ginger gin Garnish: lemon wedge 200ml ginger ale Preparation Fill the glass with ice, add in the rhubarb and ginger gin and top with the ginger ale, stir and garnish with a lemon wedge.
