Miscellaneous Notes  K‐State now has a 1,632‐1,145 all‐time record since play began in 1903.  With the win, K‐State moves to 22‐10 overall this season, which is the most wins in a single season since winning 27 in head coach ’s first season in 2012‐13… The Wildcats have already clinched a 20‐win season for the 29th time in school history, including the fourth time in Weber’s six seasons.  K‐State is 34‐39 all‐time in the Big Eight/12 Championship dating back to its inception in 1977, including 14‐21 in the Big 12 era… The Wildcats are now 6‐10 in the quarterfinals, including 7‐8 all‐time as a No. 4 seed, in this, the ninth such appearance and the first since 2011… The team is now 6‐5 vs. a No. 5 seed.  K‐State is now 68‐43 all‐time in overtime, including 62‐33 in single overtime games… It was the first overtime game of the 2017‐18 season and the first since an 86‐80 loss to TCU at home on Feb. 1, 2017… It was the first win in overtime since a 66‐63 victory over Oklahoma on Jan. 10, 2015, snapping a three‐ game losing streak in overtime games.  This was the fifth overtime game in Big Eight/12 Championship history, including the first since a 74‐73 overtime win over Baylor in the first round in 2002… The team is now 4‐1 in overtime games in the Big Eight/12 Championship, including 2‐0 in the Big 12 era.  Head coach Bruce Weber is now 435‐233 overall in his 20th season, including a 122‐78 mark in his sixth season at K‐State… The 122 victories rank fourth all‐time in school history and are the most wins since Jack Hartman retired as the winningest coach in school history in 1986 with 295 career victories… This was Weber’s 200th game as head coach at K‐State, becoming the fourth head coach (Jack Gardner, and Jack Hartman) in school history to coach in at least 200 games.  K‐State now leads the all‐time series with TCU, 13‐6, including 1‐1 at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship… The teams are now 1‐1 all‐time in overtime games and the first since TCU won 86‐80 at on Feb. 1, 2017… The two teams split their two regular season meetings… Interestingly, it was the Wildcats’ first win in four meetings with the Horned Frogs in the postseason (1968 NCAA Tournament, 1999 NIT, 2011 and 2018 Big 12 Championships).  The starting lineup consisted of redshirt freshman Cartier Diarra, junior Barry Brown, Jr., sophomore Xavier Sneed, sophomore Makol Mawien and junior Dean Wade… This is the 17th straight game using this lineup… Brown pushes his team‐best streaks of current games played (100) and consecutive starts (78)… It was the 98th career start for Wade, including the 78th in row… Sneed has now started 34 games, including all 32 this season… It was the 32nd start in a row for Mawien and the 17th straight for Diarra.

Team Notes  K‐State scored 66 points on 46.4 percent shooting (26‐of‐56), including 20 percent (3‐of‐15) from 3‐point range, and 64.7 percent (11‐of‐17) from the free throw line.

 Four Wildcats scored in double figures for the 13th time this season… Since head coach Bruce Weber took over in 2012‐13, the Wildcats have posted a 52‐18 overall record when four or more players score in double figures, including an 11‐2 mark this season… The team is now 8‐0 this season, including 5‐0 against Big 12 opponents, when sophomore Makol Mawien scores in double figures.  K‐State held TCU to less than 70 points in all three meetings (68, 66 and 64), as the Horned Frogs connected on 46.3 percent (25‐of‐54), including 41.2 percent (7‐of‐17) from 3‐point range, and just 50 percent (7‐of‐14) from the free throw line… The Wildcats were the only Big 12 team to hold the Frogs to less than 70 points in both regular‐season meetings.  K‐State is now 101‐28 under Weber when the team holds an opponent to 69 points or less, including 15‐3 this season… In comparison, the Wildcats are 21‐50 under Weber when allowing 70 or more points.  K‐State out‐scored TCU, 32‐30, in the paint, which marked the 22nd time this season the Wildcats possessed advantage over the opponent.  K‐State posted just 11 turnovers against TCU, as the team has 12 turnovers or less in 24 of 32 games this season, including single‐digit turnovers on 10 occasions.  K‐State scored 17 points off 14 TCU turnovers, marking the xxth time this season that the Wildcats have scored 15 or more points off turnovers in a game.

Player Notes  Sophomore Makol Mawien scored a team‐high 16 points on 6‐of‐7 field goals and 4‐of‐4 from the free throw line to go with a career‐tying 9 rebounds and a career‐best 3 blocks in 30 minutes of action… He has now scored in double figures in eight career games… K‐State is 8‐0 when he registers double digits… It marked the first career time leading the team in scoring and just the fourth time in rebounding.  Junior Dean Wade scored 12 points on 5‐of‐9 field goals, including 2‐of‐2 from 3‐point range, to go with 3 rebounds and 2 steals in 41 minutes… He has now scored in double figures in 62 career games, including a team‐best 28 this season… He has now posted double‐digit points in 20 consecutive games.  Sophomore Xavier Sneed scored 12 points on 4‐of‐12 field goals, including 1‐of‐7 from 3‐point range, and 3‐of‐6 from the free throw line, to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in a career‐best 42 minutes… He has now scored in double figures in 32 games, including 18 this season.  Junior Barry Brown, Jr., scored 11 points on 4‐of‐11 field goals and 3‐of‐5 from the free throw line to go with 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in a career‐best 44 minutes of action… He has now scored in double figures in 59 career games, including 25 this season.  Both Brown and Wade played in their 100th career games at K‐State.
