There is an objection to the order that is still outstanding after the Council attempted a process of resolution. In the case of the order in question Cornwall Council considers that the points of issue are matters of evidence related to the alleged subsistence of the right of way described in the order. In these circumstances it is most likely that the Secretary of State will decide that the order is most expediently determined by way of Written Representations or a Local Public Inquiry. As part of the documentation required by the Planning Inspectorate Cornwall Council must supply evidence that affected landowners give their permission for the Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State to determine the order to gain access to land in their ownership that does not form part of an existing public highway. It is usual for the Inspector to make an unaccompanied site inspection prior to any Hearing or Public Inquiry. It is then usual for a further accompanied site inspection to be carried out either after the close of the Inquiry or Hearing or during an adjournment of the proceedings. The Inspector will explain how any accompanied site inspection is to be conducted during their opening remarks on the day of the Inquiry or Hearing. I attach copies of a pro-forma to facilitate the process of granting permission. I would be grateful if you would complete one copy of the pro-forma and return it. You should complete the other copy of the pro-forma at the same time and retain it for your own records. Because the evidence of permission granted by affected owners is a necessary part of the submission documents, I would be grateful if you could respond at your earliest convenience so that the submission may be sent to the Planning Inspectorate without any undue delay. The Planning Inspectorate no longer permits the Council to assume that no response means that you have no objection to such a visit and by implication consent to allow the Appointed Inspector access to your land, so if I do not hear from you, I will be required to contact you again. The following questions indicate the type of information the Inspector will need about the site. Please supply any additional information on a separate sheet of paper. 1. Is the site uneven or does it present any other known risks? Is special footwear or any other Personal Protection Equipment required? This route is a narrow footpath across uneven ground with several sections of steps. This would require suitable footwear for outdoor terrain. 2. Is there any likelihood of exposure to pets or other animals which may present a risk to the safety of the Inspector? No. The route, or access to it, does not cross a field. Part of the route is in a small section of woodland. 3. Is the site remote and/or can it be seen from other highways or rights of way? The site is not remote & links St Agnes to Trevaunance Cove. Sections of the site are not visible from highways. 4. Does the site have a good mobile phone signal or is there easy access to a public telephone should the emergency services be

    Buildings at Risk May 2021 Newsletter No.7 A three-year project led by the Cornish Buildings Group and supported by Historic England and the Cornwall Heritage Trust commenced in September 2020. The funding supports a case officer in order to help identify and monitor buildings at risk and seek solutions for neglected, redundant or derelict listed buildings and unlisted buildings. In the news We have had a successful month in the media. The plight of St Paul’s church, Truro, was picked up by Radio Cornwall which resulted in two radio interviews, one about St Paul’s itself and another on the wider buildings at risk project. We are grateful to Barry West for promoting St Paul’s which set the e-petition rolling again. As I write we have nearly reached 2,600 signatures. This has come to the attention of the Victorian Society who will discuss the case at its next buildings committee. Although the future of this church is still very much in doubt a solution could still be found. Furthermore, our blog post on Melador Farmhouse was used as a feature on the Cornwall Live website. The project was featured in a published article in Old Cornwall/ Kernow Goth, the Journal of the Old Cornwall Society, volume 15, No.1, Spring 2021. Our latest blog posts Focus on Penzance and Kresen Kernow: The Sweet Taste of Success have received good visitor traffic. King The catalogue is organised geographically commencing with British material and ranges across the world in the standard geographical format. The British material is grouped under two main headjngs: Cornubia; and the Rest of Britain. Cornubian specimens are grouped under the geographical headings (i-xii) used by Dines (1956). Localities falling outside those boundaries appear within the area geographically nearest to them. The mines andlor localities in every case are entered alphabetically. Nearby place names have been used as points of reference. Where possible, modern geographical nomenclature has been used. In some cases, however, where it has not been possible to locate small localities on modern maps, the 'given' nomenclature has been retained, and it should be borne in mind that these may contain errors resulting from the imperfect interpretation of handwriting on old labels. Each item in the catalogue bears the specimen's accession number within the King Collection; the date of collection from the field where known; a short description of the specimen's physical features where of value; and bibliographic data where of use and where available. Any controversy concerning the species identification or locality is entered. Much of the material listed is from the Harwood (Deganwy) Bequest. Each item from the latter bears the letter H. The sources of much of the Hatwood material are unknown but letters exist in the author's files indicating that Harwood acquired much, if not all, of the Saxon and the Bohemian material by exchange with the Narodni Museum of Natural History in Prague.

Both sites have experienced and knowledgeable guides. If you wish to delve deeper into the history of Levant Mine then this short guide will provide you with more information. Geevor, Levant and Cornish Mining Between 1700 and 1914, the metal mining industry of Cornwall and west Devon transformed the landscape. It fed the Industrial Revolution in Britain and influenced the development of our modern world. The Cornwall and west Devon mining landscape consists of ten areas with distinct personalities. Geevor and Levant are in the St Just Mining District, which is in the western most part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. World Heritage Site status recognises the importance on a global scale of Cornish mining’s historic landscapes, its outstanding mine buildings and other features. Cornish miners and engineers developed technologies which transformed mining worldwide. Their innovations and skills were vital to the Industrial Revolution and helped shape our modern industrial society. The widespread surface remains of Levant Mine are located on the cliffs 2 miles north of St Just, about 1/3 mile west of Geevor Mine. A walk along this spectacular stretch of Atlantic Coast reveals a range of fascinating archaeology from this famous “mine under the sea”.
