Thank you for your interest in our Dog Daycare. Walkin’ The Dog is committed to providing an organized, controlled and monitored environment. The purpose of Dog Daycare is to provide stimulation, exercise, and socialization. Daycare can be used as a treat for your pet or as an aid in teaching your pet to interact and socialize appropriately with other dogs. At our Dog Daycare your pet will be FULLY SUPERVISED in the playroom. We have been serving the valley for 18 years as a mobile service for hiking, pet visits and boarding and 13 years as the first Dog Daycare. We are please to say we are the ONLY ones with a fenced out door play yard. Located adjacent to the daycare, we have enclosed approximately 1 1/2 acres of play space that is accessed directly from our daycare and only for OUR clients.

Enclosed you will find information and forms you need to register your pet for services. PLEASE READ THEM. To enroll, fill out the forms, have proof of vaccinations and schedule a time to bring your pet by for a quick visit. We need to meet each pet before we can allow him or her to interact. We prefer not to have your pets first time here be its first day of care. Trial times are one to three hours and are free of charge. Please call to arrange a time that will be best for a trial, trials are only scheduled in the am .

WALKIN’ THE DOG INC. GENERAL INFORMATION AND POLCIES Our purpose at Walkin’ The Dog is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for dogs in a group setting. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following rules and regulations:

SEX: All dogs should be spayed or neutered. We understand some dogs are not altered until an older age, which is okay. There are exceptions to dogs that are not altered. If your dog can participate in the daycare without complications; such as over dominant behaviors or excessive marking, then we would love to have them. There is an additional fee of $10.00 for any unneutered dogs over 1 year.

SHOTS: All dogs must have up to date vaccinations including Bordetella. Bring a copy of your pet’s veterinary records or have them faxed to 970-949-1607. We will need yearly updates of vet records to keep on file.

HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Owners will certify that their dog(s) is(are) in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health in order to be admitted or readmitted. If we see a potential condition, we may separate the dog from the others until we obtain information from your vet, or talk with you. PLEASE let us know if your dog has diarrhea so we can walk him/her accordingly. Please be aware dogs can get common colds and/or viruses very easily while playing with one another, and it is a risk you take when your dog is in daycare.

BEHAVIOR: All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog. Please remember: your pet(s) will be spending time with other pets and the safety of all animals is our main concern and top priority. If your pet has displayed aggressive behavior with another dog or human please let us know. This does not mean your dog can not come to our daycare, rather it will allow us to better observe any potential warning signals in certain situations. It is important that all forms are filled out about your dog’s behavior, and any additional information given.

FEEDING AND MEDICATIONS: We will feed and medicate your pets if needed. We are trained and able to medicate dogs. You must provide your own food for your dog if you would like him/her to be fed. If no food is provided we will buy the appropriate food and a charge will be applied to your bill for the food and transportation.

TO ENROLL: You should first read and fill out all paperwork. All dogs must have a complete, up to date and approved application on file. Please update your phone numbers, address and emergency contacts as often as needed.

DAYCARE FEES: Full day - one dog $45.00 / second dog (same household) $35.00 Half day — one dog $35.00 /second dog (same household) $25.00 Play Cards: 5 or 10 visits purchased in advance. VALID FOR 6 MONTHS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE. FULL DAYS: One dog $40.00 per visit —$5.00 off each visit. $200 HALF DAYS: One dog $30.00 per visit—$5.00 off each visit. $150

DAYS AND HOURS: Monday through Friday between 7:30am to 6:30pm. Walkin’ The Dog is NOT an overnight facility. Closing time is 6:30pm and there is a $15.00 late pick-up charge for each 15-minute increment after 6:30pm. (PICK UP & DROPOFF IS AVAILABLE : starting at $25 ONE WAY EAST VAIL TO EDWARDS)

PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF: Transportation available $25.00 - one way East Vail to Edwards.

BOARDING/OVERNIGHT CARE: Overnight care is available. Boarders will leave the daycare and stay in our home at night. We offer a cage less environment, all dogs sleep inside the house. We have a large fenced yard. Space is limited, so reservations are needed as far in advance as possible. Boarding is available everyday. Nightly care (includes daycare) is $70.00 / 2nd dog $50.00. Credit card deposits are required for new clients. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged $50.00. (Holidays require 7 day cancellation notice or 50% charge of the reservation) * THIS IS A HOME ENVIORNMENT; SOME DOGS MAY NOT FIT IN WELL WITH THIS SITUATION AND MAY DO BETTER IN A KENNEL. WE WILL BOARD ONLY DOGS THAT WILL COEXIST IN A GROUP ENVIORNMENT.

RESERVATIONS: Reservations for the daycare are appreciated and are required for daycare discounts. Space is limited so we appreciate your cooperation. Letting us know when you will be in allows us to properly staff enough employees to supervise the dogs. Safety is a priority.

We all want a dog that can interact and play well with other dogs without ever having to worry about conflicts. Unfortunately some dogs come to us with certain quirks or issues. We would like to help work with you to socialize your pets and modify their behaviors. We are constantly educating ourselves about dog behaviors and training techniques. There are certain behaviors that are not acceptable at Dog Daycare and we have various ways to teach dogs. All owners are welcome to stay and see the daycare in action (just be aware that your dog may not play when you are here). Sometimes it takes a few visits for your dog to relax and enjoy the daycare facility. Bringing your dog to daycare on a regular basis is best for your pet, even if it is once a week. Dogs tend to adjust better to situations if it happens routinely.

GROUP HIKES: Group hikes are 1 hour, approximately 3 miles, during the middle of the day. Hikes are available Monday through Sat and Sundays during winter only. Group hikes are a privilege situation. Only those dogs that can be friendly in a group situation and respond to commands can participate. Group hikes are a big part of our business and a lot of fun. The safety of the entire group depends on every dogs behavior and their ability to listen to us as the leader. There is a limit to the number of dogs that can be hiked together so reservations are required and a weekly schedule is best for the dog. Most dogs that participate on the group hikes can be hiked off leash, but it is always at the discretion of the walker when a dog is ready or able to be trusted to be off leash. Dog hikes: start at $35.00, 2nd dog $25.00. CANCELLATION POLICY FOR GROUP HIKES. You must call in advance-prior to arrival at house to avoid full fees. No call/ No show (dogs not home): $15.00

DOG WALK OR VISITS: Our mobile service is available from East Vail to Edwards. Individual or private walks can be scheduled any day of the week, sat and sun varies as to how busy we are and what time of year. Private walks are generally 20 minutes and usually one on one. These visits are available early in the day or later in the afternoon, before or after the group hike. Feeding, if needed, is included. Dog walks/visits: start at $35.00 , 2nd dog $10.00 to $25.00

CAT CARE: Walkin’ The Dog also loves cats. Cat visits generally occur once a day or every other day, but we can accommodate any special needs. We will feed, water, change litter and love on your cat at every visit. Cat care: $25.00 per visit. 2 cats $30.00

PET TRANSPORTATION: To and from vet visits, grooming appointments, or wherever they may need to be. $25.00 Prices vary.

Miscellaneous charges: Late fees for non-payment of bills = minimum of $10.00 per billing cycle or 10% of bill Daycare Late Pick-up Fees, after 6:30pm = $15.00 for EVERY 15 minutes Overnight Bookings Less Than 24 Hours / same day request = additional $25.00 Extending overnight care without proper notice = $25.00 Overnight care cancellations less than 24 hour notice = $50.00 Medical attention while in our care (Prescheduled Vet Visits for injured Dogs) = $25.00 or to be determined Overnight stays required as a result of late arrivals or the inability to communicate with you = $70.00 plus price of daycare

OUTDOOR PLAYYARD I understand that while in the playyard there is an increased chance of injury due to the nature of dogs running and playing in a larger area. Things may go unnoticed or may not be preventable, unlike the indoor play area. I also certify that I am aware that a dog can jump or try to jump the fence, and I have given any necessary information to the staff at WTD about my dogs previous behaviors that pertain to fence jumping. The playyard is a privileged situation.
