Welcome to the 2021 State Judicial Branch Open Enrollment Virtual Health/Wellness Virtual Benefits Fair. The open enrollment period is from September 20, 2021 through October 15, 2021. During this timeframe, you will be able to enroll, cancel, and/or change your election to the following plan(s):

To assist you in making informed decisions about your healthcare, the Judicial Council Human Resources office has compiled information from the plan administrators which you can access at your convenience. Below is a summary of information contained in this document:
Health Plan Changes for 2022 (New): Summary of health plan changes for the upcoming 2022 plan year.
Healthier U Connections (New): The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) hosted a virtual Open Enrollment fair for state employees. Employees will be able to view on-demand webinars for all benefit plans on the Healthier U Connections (initial registration will be required for this website).
Online Presentations: Includes live webinars, on-demand webinars, recorded presentations, virtual/interactive platforms, and other educational videos
Benefit Summary: Summary of benefit documents, evidence of coverage booklets, program guides, comparison charts, plan summaries, overviews, and newsletters.

Listed below is a summary of the health plan changes for the 2022 plan year. The list also includes the health plans with a gross premium increase of 9.00% or more.
Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) Plan Name Changes for 2022
11.49% premium increase for State and California State Anthem Del Norte EPO Universities
Reenter into eight Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Blue Shield Access+ Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Sonoma, and Solano
Blue Shield EPO Expand into Lassen and Shasta counties
Blue Shield Trio Expand into Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, and Orange counties
14.47% premium increase for State and California State Health Net Salud y Más Universities
10.59% premium increase for State and California State Sharp Performance Plus Universities

Anthem Blue Cross Medicare - 12 telephone nutritional counseling sessions Preferred - 1 monthly shipment of recommended healthy non- perishable staples - Non-emergency medical transportation to medical appointments, SilverSneakers locations, and pharmacies. Twelve one-way trips, up to 60 miles per trip, per year

Additional supplemental benefits:
Blue Shield Medicare Advantage - Quarterly $80 over-the-counter drug benefit - Personal emergency response system - Post-discharge meals - 24 non-emergency medical transportation one-way trips

CalHR hosted its first virtual Open Enrollment Fair for state employees on September 15, 2021. Benefit administrators conducted webinars that provided plan summary/changes for the upcoming 2022 year. The webinars were recorded and below is a list of the September 15th presentations.

To view the recorded webinars, you will need register for a Healthier U Connections account. Healthier U Connections is an online wellness program which provides year-round access to wellness articles, healthy recipes, a fitness library and more. Below are instructions on setting up an account:
1. Visit the Healthier U Connections website, 2. Click on the “Register” Box in the first time user section , 3. Enter “Wellness2021” for the registration code, 4. Enter in your personal information. Please use your work email for the email section, 5. Under the Department section, please select “Judicial Council of California (JUD)”, 6. Location will only show San Francisco or Sacramento. Please select either location,

7. Under the Division section, it will ask you to select one of the following: Admin, Executive, Leadership Services, or Operations and Programs. Please select the one that is most applicable to your position.
The recorded sessions, on-demand webinars, and other resources will be available on Healthier U Connections through October 15, 2021. You may also review the open enrollment resources available on the benefit plan administrator’s websites (information provided in the following charts).
After October 15th, employees can continue to access Healthier U Connections for year-round wellness resources.
