I am constantly inspired by the people, the lands, the animals, the ocean and the city, feeling that it is all a wonderful, insightful, research program to help my creative currency expand and prosper. Life is art, and I take it to heart…. My interests are in music inspired expression, shapes and light, nature, recycling, collections, patterns and textuality. I am a Multi-platform artist with skills based in the mediums of Paint, Paper, nature based sculpture, wire, photography and community art projects. I am also an Exhibiting Visual Artist, Gallery Curator, Community Arts Facilitator and have an ever enlarging project based Portfolio. I have a professional and creative approach to all aspects of art and design which helps me plan and execute my professional work and artworks with integrity and flair. Experience :: I have always loved to draw and create from a very early age and I think that was my inspiration to select graphic design as a career choice. Now with over 2 decades of collective experience in a variety of Queensland based advertising agencies and design studios, this has taught me a wide range of skills in variety of creative fields. Much of this time was spent managing a graphic design team in a global consulting/engineering firm providing innovative and exceptional graphic solutions for clients. My role there included technical expertise, team leadership, project management and client liaison - skills, which have followed through with my own contract business. Over the past three years, I have taken on a more innovative approach to working with clients and community groups with visual arts in mind, networking and working with creatively inspired artists and artisans. My recent involvement with a the new Arts, Theatre, Music venue in the Brisbane CBD, has led me to contribute much of my free time as a Gallery Manager and Artist Curator to this innovative space. As well as producing my own artworks for exhibitions and shows, my souls drive is to help develop and plan group exhibitions, facilitate regular art workshops and manage public art opportunities for myself and other local artists.
