The Asian Conference on Sustainability, Energy and the Environment 2013 Official Conference Proceedings Osaka, Japan The Potential of Tourist Attractions: A Case Study of 2 Rural Connecting Districts in the Western Part of Thailand Areerut Patnukao, Sirivilai Teerarojanarat Chulalongkorn University, Thailand 0533 The Asian Conference on Sustainability, Energy & the Environment 2013 Official Conference Proceedings 2013 Abstract The area along the Thai-Burmese border in the western part of Thailand is dominated by mountain ranges lying in a north-south direction. This area is enriched with national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and diversity of ethnic minority groups. Some of these places are promoted to be tourist attractions. However, sustainable tourism is still in its infancy. The project entitled “Geographical Techniques for the Study of Cultural Diversity and Tourism Development” was launched in 2010. The study area covered the connecting area of two rural districts - Dan Chang district, Suphan Buri province and Ban Rai district, Uthai Thani province. This paper presents the first stage of this project aiming to explore and identify the potential of tourist attractions in the study area. Methodology involved field survey, classification and assessment of potential of tourist attractions, development of GIS tourism databases, and implementation of SWOT analysis. Results showed that tourist attractions are based almost entirely on their cultural and natural heritages. Based on the SWOT analysis, their strengths are in term of the cultural uniqueness and the richness of forestry and wildlife. Their major weaknesses are the incompleteness of physical transportation and facilities and the uncooperative attitudes between the relevant government agencies. The opportunity is that these areas can be promoted to become new tourist attractions at both domestic and international levels. -

Abundant Taxonomy fossils, consisting of mostly isolated teeth from small-to large-sized animals, were recovered from breccias Taphonomy cemented on the cave walls and unconsolidated sediments on the cave floor.Two loci on the walls and floorsof Cave Ngalau Gupin, named NG-A and NG-B respectively, are studied. We determine that NG-B most likely formed as a Pleistocene result of the erosion and redeposition of material from NG-A. The collection reveals a rich, diverse Pleistocene Southeast Asia Hexaprotodon faunal assemblage (Proboscidea, Primates, Rodentia, Artiodactyla, Perissodactyla, Carnivora) largely analogous ESR and U-series dating to extant fauna in the modern rainforests of Sumatra. -

Field-testing took place over a two-week period in the month of December 2016 and January 2017. During this time, team member Mikayla Sullivan was able to interview 58 community members and gather feedback about KinoSol Orenda Dehydrator functionality, acceptance of the technology, and income generating feasibility. Specific information about the field-testing location, dehydration and market data, community feedback, and community distribution strategy will be explained below. STEPHEN GREEN BIOGRAPHY With over fifteen years in music Stephen Green has had experience in many different facets of the industry. From syndicated music columnist, marketing manager, radio reporter, inflight entertainment producer, street press journalist, vocalist, music retailer, voice-over artist and event manager, Stephen had a huge range of experiences before starting PR and marketing company Australian Music Biz in 1999. The business was formed to focus on allowing independent artists and labels to have media representation that could compete with more established record labels. He developed the company over seven years growing to support four staff. Clients included SonyBMG, EMI, Warner, Roadrunner, Rajon, Modern Music and many more. Over the years, the company has worked with the likes of The Butterfly Effect, Tom Jones, Kate Miller-Heidke, Hanson, Screaming Jets, Small Mercies, Epicure, The Red Paintings, The Boat People, Bodyjar and many more. In 2007, Stephen started his second company, Outbreak Marketing which dealt with internet and street marketing. Later that year, he sold his interests in both Australian Music Biz and Outbreak Marketing. Over the last two years he has split his time between two jobs, working as Program Director at Q Music (Queensland's music industry peak body) and radio project manager at digital media servicing company D-Star. His role at D-Star has seen him responsible for the rollout of Play MPE, a web-based tool for servicing tracks from record companies to radio stations in Australia, while his work with Q Music saw him programming and co-ordinating BIG SOUND in 2007 and 2008, which has quickly become Australia's most respected music business conference in Brisbane. -

The design of the curricula is student-centered, based on spiral progression of processes, concepts and skills and grounded in performance- based learning. Thus, the learner is empowered, through active involvement and participation, to effectively correlate music and art to the development of his/her own cultural identity and the expansion of his/her vision of the world.
