Pick-up at Bologna airport and transfer to Pesaro. Accommodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight. 2nd day: The “Olive” operation. Meet Churchill and the Allied Army following soldier footsteps. Breakfast. Your travel back in time starts discovering the history of the Gothic line and meeting the English Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill. Visit at the Museum in Montemaggiore al Metauro that remembers the “Olive” operation, an offensive battle against the Gothic Line. Accompanied by our guides wearing real war costumes on board of an original Jeep, you will follow the Canadian army footsteps until Montecchio Commonwealth War Cemetery. Then visit at the Canadian Memorial Q.204 in Tavullia. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight. 3rdday: Little villages and communities: Montegridolfo, Tavoleto battle, War museums of Casinina and Montescudo, Coriano Commonwealth cemetery. Breakfast. This day is dedicated to discover the little villages and communities along the Gothic line. Accompanied by our guide, in real war costumes, you will visit the Gothic line museum of Montegridolfo, built above a Germans observing site. Passing thought Tavoleto you will reach the war museum in Casini- na, hosting war findings and rare collections of original sets and equipment, and then Montescudo, where the ruins of the church of Saint Peter, bombed in September ’44, have been converted into the Museum of the Eastern Gothic Line and Peace Church.
