The annual Advent Giving Tree is up! Our annual Advent Giving Tree helps provide toys to orphan children as well as to men’s and women’s homeless shelters, local food pantries and the Desormeaux Foundation for young mothers choosing life over abortion. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Deadline to return gifts to be placed under and around the tree is December 16th. 10th Grade Confirmation Class Reminder—The next December class date is December 20. Classes will be held from 10-11 am at the St. Rose of Lima Church Hall. Students are asked to bring a Catholic Bible (or an app on a smartphone) to class. Students are reminded to sign in at the entrance of Church when they attend Mass every weekend as per the class requirements. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. 2nd Grade Morning of Worship for St. Joseph & St. Rose of Lima Students—2nd Grade Morning of Worship will be held at St. Joseph Church from 10-11 am on Saturday, December 12th. We are asking for only ONE parent to attend with your child (as our class is quite large and we need to adhere to Covid-19 guidelines).

About the Gospel: John the Baptist baptized with water as a symbol that the people were leaving their old, sinful ways behind. He was preparing them for when Jesus would baptize them with the Holy Spirit and change them forever by his sacrifice on the Cross.
