City Dog Park Planning and Discussion • Mr. King mentioned the “Meet Me at the Park” $20,000 Grant campaign. • Mr. Detty mentioned the Lowe’s communication. • Ms. Byrge discussed the March 29, 2018 email (Copy Enclosed) • Mr. Shaw discussed access to a Shared Drive for additional information. • Mr. King shared concerns regarding “Banning” smoking at the park as no park in Huber is currently banned. • Ms. Byrge suggested Benches inside and out of the park area. • Mr. Hensley and the committee discussed in length the optional sizes for the park. • Mr. Detty expressed interest in a limestone entrance area. • Mr. Hensley suggested the 100ft distance from the North line of the Neighbors and the School property line to the South. -

FORM GEN. 160 (Rev. 6-80) CITY OF LOS ANGELES INTER-DEPARTMENTAL CORRESPONDENCE Date: March 13, 2015 To: Honorable Council Members From: Gary Lee Moore, City Engineer Bureau of Engineering Subject: CITY SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM STATUS UPDATE NO. 1 (COUNCIL FILE 14-0163-S4) This document is prepared in response to the CF 14-0163-S4 relative to the City Sidewalk Repair Program. Specifically, Council instructed the Bureau of Engineering (BOE) to report back on the status of implementation of the Sidewalk Repair Program, including any required policies, hiring of employees, utilization of contractors and amount of sidewalk repairs completed. Program Progress On February 3, 2015, the City Council approved implementation of a FY 2014-2015 Sidewalk Repair Program for repair of sidewalks adjacent to City facilities. BOE was established as the Program Manager. A kickoff meeting was held on February 9, 2015, and subsequent meetings have been held on a weekly basis. The meetings are well attended and include the Mayor’s Office, Board of Public Works (BPW), Bureau of Contract Administration (BCA), Bureau of Street Lighting (BSL), Bureau of Street Services (BSS), City Administrative Officer (CAO), Chief Legislative Analyst (CLA), Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). BOE appreciates the participation and collaborative efforts that have taken place to start the Program, and the cooperation has allowed us to accomplish a great deal in a relatively short time frame. On February 10, 2015, BOE immediately began assessment of the list of City Facilities that were provided by each Department as requested by the CAO. -

This project was undertaken from September 2011 to July 2012 by Historic Resources Group (HRG). This Survey Report provides a summary of the work completed, including a description of the survey area; an overview of the field methodology; a summary of relevant contexts, themes and property types; and complete lists of all surveyed resources. This Survey Report is intended to be used in conjunction with the SurveyLA Field Results Master Report (“Master Report”) which provides a detailed discussion of SurveyLA methodology and explains the terms used in this report and associated appendices. In addition, a Survey Results Map has been prepared which graphically illustrates the boundaries of the survey area and the location and type of all resources identified during the field surveys. -

California #SaveLWCF Our Land, Our Water, Our Heritage America's most important conservation and recreation program will expire in less than a year unless Congress acts. For 52 years, the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) has protected national parks and open spaces in every corner of the United States. But in less than 52 weeks, it could be gone forever and along with it, future protection of the places we love. LWCF has invested more than $2.4 billion over the past five decades to protect California’s iconic outdoor places, open access for hunting, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities, and to build close to home parks. From community playgrounds and ballfields to California’s iconic national parks, wildlife refuges, and historic sites, LWCF has protected places like Muir Woods, Joshua Tree, Lake Tahoe and the Santa Monica Mountains, the Pacific Crest Trail, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Grasslands Wildlife Management Area, Baldwin Hills, Tuolumne River Parkway, and community parks, recreational fields, and trails in communities small and large in California. California’s $92 billion outdoor recreation industry is an economic powerhouse – supporting 691,000 jobs which generate $30.4 billion in wages and salaries and produces $6.2 billion annually in state and local tax revenue. From Redwoods to Joshua Trees With LWCF, Californians have been able to protect some of our most iconic redwood forests, which attract tourists from California and around the world. Redwood National Park celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2018, and we need LWCF to continue this legacy of conserving the redwoods, so that future generations may experience the grandeur of a towering old-growth grove. -

Summary of Sexual Abuse Claims in Chapter 11 Cases of Boy Scouts of America There are approximately 101,135sexual abuse claims filed. Of those claims, the Tort Claimants’ Committee estimates that there are approximately 83,807 unique claims if the amended and superseded and multiple claims filed on account of the same survivor are removed. The summary of sexual abuse claims below uses the set of 83,807 of claim for purposes of claims summary below.1 The Tort Claimants’ Committee has broken down the sexual abuse claims in various categories for the purpose of disclosing where and when the sexual abuse claims arose and the identity of certain of the parties that are implicated in the alleged sexual abuse. Attached hereto as Exhibit 1 is a chart that shows the sexual abuse claims broken down by the year in which they first arose. Please note that there approximately 10,500 claims did not provide a date for when the sexual abuse occurred. As a result, those claims have not been assigned a year in which the abuse first arose. Attached hereto as Exhibit 2 is a chart that shows the claims broken down by the state or jurisdiction in which they arose. Please note there are approximately 7,186 claims that did not provide a location of abuse. Those claims are reflected by YY or ZZ in the codes used to identify the applicable state or jurisdiction. Those claims have not been assigned a state or other jurisdiction. Attached hereto as Exhibit 3 is a chart that shows the claims broken down by the Local Council implicated in the sexual abuse. -

REGULAR MEETING MINUTES BOARD OF RECREATION AND PARK COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES Wednesday, December 18, 2019 The Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners of the City of Los Angeles convened the Regular Meeting at EXPO Center at 9:33 a.m. Present were President Sylvia Patsaouras, Vice- President Lynn Alvarez, and Commissioner Joseph Halper. Also present were Michael A. Shull, General Manager, Anthony-Paul Diaz, Executive Officer and Chief of Staff, and Deputy City Attorney III Steven Hong The following Department staff members were present: Vicki Israel, Assistant General Manager, Recreational Services Branch Sophia Piña-Cortez, Assistant General Manager, Special Operations Branch Javier Solis, Superintendent of Maintenance, Planning, Maintenance, & Construction Branch Noel Williams, Chief Financial Officer, Finance Branch CALL TO ORDER Councilmember Curren D. Price, Jr., made opening remarks and welcomed the Board Commissioners and audience to the Ninth council District. Patricia Delgado, Principal Recreation Supervisor I, Aquatic Division, introduced the EXPO Center staff and provided background information about the facility. General Manager Michael A. Shull began the Acknowledgement of Service for Commissioner Pilar Diaz by thanking her for the passion, devotion, and service to the Department. Anthony-Paul Diaz echoed the parting words of Mr. Shull and presented Commissioner Diaz with a Certificate of Recognition on behalf of the Commission. This certificate is signed by all the Commissioners and General Manager to acknowledge her service to the City of Los Angeles. Also, he presented Ms. Diaz with a tile for her to sign that will then be placed on the Greek Theatre's Artists Wall, as is customary for artists who perform at this venue, as well as officials that serve the City. -
