MINUTES of the meeting of 21 September 2004, 15:00 - 18:30, and 22 September 2004, 9:00 - 12:30 BRUSSELS
The meeting opened at 15:10 on Tuesday, 21 September 2004, with Mrs Pervenche Berès, chairwoman, in the chair.
1. Adoption of draft agenda
The draft agenda was adopted.
2. Chairman's announcements:
The chairperson announced the dates of the hearings with the new the Commissioners and encouraged all Members to be present. She reminded the members that if they wanted to raise questions they should address themselves to their respective political groups before the meeting.
3. Any other business
Mr Langen raised the issue of the sitting order and said that he prefered that the members should be seated according to their groups. Furthermore he encouraged the president to invite Commissioner Monti one more time. Mr Purvis requested to also invite Commissioner Bolkestein. The chair referred the issues to the following coordinators meeting.
4. Appointment of rapporteurs and draftspersons - decision on procedures
The decisions of the Bureau and the coordinators meeting of 30/08/04 in Brussels and 13/09/04 in Strasburg was acknowledged.
5. LIPIETZ : ECB annual report - 2003.
