Manual Front Seat CAUTION: You can lose control of the vehicle if you try to adjust a manual driver’s seat while the vehicle is moving. The sudden movement could startle and confuse you, or make you push a pedal when you don’t want to. Adjust the driver’s seat only when the vehicle is not moving. The knob that controls this feature is located on the outboard side of each front seat. Turn the knob toward the front of the vehicle to increase lumbar support. Pull up on the control bar located under the front of the Turn the knob toward the rear of the vehicle to decrease seat to unlock it. Slide the seat to where you want it and lumbar support. then release the bar. Try to move the seat with your body to make sure the seat is locked into place. If you have the independent front cushion moved down as far as it will go, you may feel the lumbar support higher in your back. Readjust the position of the cushion until you are comfortable. You may also want to adjust the seatback for maximum comfort. 1-2 Power Seats (If Equipped) To adjust the power seats, do the following: Horizontal Control: Raise or lower the front of the seat cushion by pressing the forward edge of the control up or down. Raise or lower the rear of the seat cushion by pressing the rear edge of the control up or down. Move the seat forward or rearward by pressing the control towards the front or rear of the vehicle. Move the seat higher or lower by holding the whole control up or down. Vertical Control (Option): Move the seatback into a recline position by pressing the top of the control backward. Move the seatback forward by pressing the top of the control forward.     1959 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible Acquired January 2011 “The numbers matching concours quality Bonneville on display in Ken’s collection is not only a very rare and highly sought after original rare “bucket seat” car, it is arguably the highest quality, most authentic and most decorated restored 1959 Bonneville convertible in existence today”. Restoration complete by Level One Restorations, Gary Riley, Arvada Colorado for Mike Frey. With less than 50 test miles since restoration it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line at the Pontiac, MI plant, in late May of 1959. The underside is just as Jewel Like as the inside. The known history of this car starts in 2004 when the car was purchased largely intact by Mike Frey from a dealer in the Phoenix area. During the 15 month restoration, every part, bolt, nut, washer and screw was removed, cleaned, restored and/or replaced with mint original or new old stock (NOS) parts. The original inspector paint marks on the chassis were photographed during disassembly and reproduced during restoration, as were firewall markings and stamps, using as a “benchmark” car a ‘59 Star Chief with only 1,656 original miles. It took three donor cars to supply original sheet metal and parts to complete the project. 02-05-2019 All of the engine and chassis parts with date codes were checked in the disassembly process and all parts contained authentic date codes consistent with the car’s assembly date in late May 1959. This is a true matching numbers original bucket seat car in its original factory Sunset Glow color with the exception of the Tri Power set up replacing the original 4 bbl carburetor.

    The Bonneville Coxswains By Ben Eichelberger Betsy. Leroy. Blackjack. Dirty Ghost. Purple Haze. White Horse. Enterprise. Big Bertha. Liquid Onyx. Drug Runner. Greenzilla. 8-Ball. These labels are all the names of boats. Just like any seaman would bestow a title upon his vessel, so have these monikers been given to different crafts by their owners. Sailors have been doing it for hundreds of years, and the tradition continues today. Names are always given to large watercraft, seemingly out of a need to add character and personification to a faithful machine. A captain or crew member needs a name to call his vehicle in times of trouble and in instances of praise, so a boat needs a fitting title in order for a person to properly curse at it or coax it along. Naming a vessel also makes reference easier; instead of saying, “My great grandmother died on the big ocean liner that sank in 1912,” we have the luxury of being able to relate, “My great grandmother died on the Titanic.” But the boats whose names I mentioned above aren’t boats in the traditional sense. You won’t find an Evinrude motor, a set of oars, or even a mast and sail on any of them. They don’t float on the water or carve across a deep expanse of endless blue. No, these stylish cruisers would sink to the bottom of any river, lake, or ocean in which you placed them. They are called boats, but only with the same critical affection that they are christened with pet names.
