  • Balestrino – Castelvecchio Di Rocca Barbena
BALESTRINO – CASTELVECCHIO DI ROCCA BARBENA – ZUCCARELLO (BY CAR) This day-excursion takes you inland to picturesque remote villages and hamlets of Liguria, driving along a part of the old Via Del Sale, the ancient route, which twists and turns among Piedmont, France and Liguria, where tradesmen once used to carry salt from the coast to the hinterland. Drive down to BORGIO and then in the direction of VENTIMIGLIA, pass PIETRA L., LOANO and when you get to BORGHETTO, turn right following the direction for TOIRANO. After passing TOIRANO, take a narrow road on your left following the road signs for BALESTRINO and drive for 5 kms. On top of a hill, surmounted by a big castle, you have BALESTRINO, which is the first recommended stop. There is not much to see, apart from the ruins of an earthquake which took place in 1964 and forced inhabitants to abandon the place. Today, it looks like a “ghost village”. In 2015, the reconstruction should have started but works never began and most buildings still look as they were after the quake. After passing the village, from the main road, you have a beautiful view to take pictures. You drive for 25 minutes (about 12 km.) on a winding road and you arrive in CASTELVECCHIO DI ROCCA BARBENA. Leave your car at the parking space on the hairpin turn, before getting into the village, which is only pedestrian. Since it might be lunch time, we recommend “AGRITURISMO ANTICO MELO – www.anticomelo.it” which has an amazing view over the village and the 11th century castle (ask for a table on the terrace).

  • The 'Round and Sweet' Hazel of the Langa
The ‘Round and Sweet’ Hazel of the Langa This route is of medium difficulty with a steep initial stretch, a flat middle section along hill crests, and a downhill last part. It is recommended for fit amateur cyclists. It is a round route 680 — Prunetto that begins and ends in Cortemilia, considered the home town 606 — Bergolo 540 — Levice 324 — Pezzolo Valle Uzzone of the ‘Tonda Gentile’ (Round and Sweet) hazel nut of the 250 — Cortemilia 250 — Cortemilia Langa – and the delicious cakes made from them! The initial part of the route is towards Bergolo and is the steepest. Bergolo is a 34,7 Km lovely little historical Total height difference: 620 m village almost http://www.cicloturismo.langheroero.eu/itinerario8.asp entirely built of traditional Langa stone and is one of those places that can’t be missed during a tour of the Alta Langa (High Langa) region. After Bergolo, the road is downhill towards Levice, then uphill again to Prunetto. This little village is worth a pit-stop to rest the legs and admire its castle, the wonder- ful sanctuary and surrounding lawn, plus magnificent views. The second section of the route is a gentle descent towards Cortem- ilia through Uzzone valley, some wild countryside with very little evi- dence of agricultural modification. This is where most of the groves of the ‘Tonda Gentile’ hazel are to be found, within the areas of Castelletto Uzzone and Pezzolo Valle Uzzone. The last few kilometres take the cy- clist back towards Cortemilia down a more steeply descending road..

  • Scarica L'appendice Con L'elenco Completo Degli Edifici Dismessi

  • Notes Florístiques De Les Conques Altes Dels Rius Segre I Llobregat. III
(invasor) i Berberis vulgaris L. subsp. vulgaris i Paulownia tomentosa (Thunb.) Steud. Abstract. Floristic data of the upper Segre and Llobregat basins. III We provide data of special interest to the regional flora of the upper Segre and Llobregat basins (Eastern Pyrenees) related with previously unknown taxa or that are very rare in this area.

  • Un Estudi De La Udl Constata Risc De Despoblament En 200 Municipis Catalans La Renovació Generacional Passa Per La Immigració De Joves D'origen Estranger
