COUNTRY PARKS CAR PARK SEASON TICKETS INFORMATION SHEET In order to improve the collection of parking fees and improve security, pay on exit machines have been installed at the Car Parks at Beacon Hill, Market Bosworth Country Park and Watermead (North) Country Parks. At Broombriggs Farm, Burrough Hill, Bosworth Battlefield Visitor Centre, pay and display machines are available. It is, however, possible to buy a Car Park Season Ticket for all the Country Parks run by the Country Parks Service.

Benefits of a Season Ticket

• Valid for all Country Parks where charges are levied (except on Special Event Days, when special charges will apply).

• Valid for 12 months from the month of purchase

• Saves paying for car parking on each visit

• Offers a saving for regular visitors

• Can be used by anyone living in the same household

• All Income from the sales of Car Park Season Tickets goes towards the running and upkeep of the Country Parks.

How Much Will a Season Ticket Cost?

£60.00 per annum (incl. VAT) for all Country Parks plus a £10 returnable deposit. How will the Scheme Operate?

You can purchase a Season Ticket by completing the attached form and posting it with your payment to the address given on the form.

Display a valid Season Ticket in your vehicle on every visit to the Country Parks and you have no need to pay the daily parking charge. Season Tickets are only valid for the parking of one vehicle at a time.

Details of how to operate the Pay on Exit system will be sent to you with the Season Ticket.

GENERAL DETAILS 1. The Season Ticket is available for private motor vehicles.

2. A Season Ticket will be issued to a residential address and can be used by anyone living at that address. The Season Ticket is not transferable. Only one ticket will be issued and it will, therefore, only be valid for the parking of one vehicle at a time.

3. If you change your vehicle details or address, please inform the Country Parks Service at the address given below immediately, so that our records can be updated.

4. In order to prevent abuse of the Season Ticket system, the County Council reserves the right for the Country Park Staff to make checks to confirm the identity of the Season Ticket users. Your co-operation in this respect is requested. In the event of such abuse the right is also reserved to withdraw the Season Ticket.

5. If you need a replacement ticket the charge for this is £10.

6. Possession of a Season Ticket does not guarantee a parking space being available.

7. The closing time for the Car Parks is displayed at each site.

8. The Season Ticket will be valid at those Country Parks managed by Leicestershire County Council at which a daily car park charge is made.

• Beacon Hill near Woodhouse Eaves • Broombriggs Farm near Woodhouse Eaves • Burrough Hill near Melton Mowbray • Market Bosworth Country Park • Bosworth Battlefield near Market Bosworth • Shenton Station • (North)

9. The Season Ticket will not permit parking at Bradgate Park or Swithland Wood, which are managed by the Bradgate Park Trust.

10. The Season Ticket would not be valid should a Special Event be held at a Country Park, when a special charge applies.

No on-site car parking is available at the following parks

• Jubilee Wood • Misterton Marshes • Sheet Hedges Wood • A511 site in Coalville

12. Special charges apply for Blue Badge holders. Please ask for details.

13. Leicestershire County Council does not accept liability, under any circumstances, for any loss, damage or injury which occurs during the use of the Country Park and/or the Car Parks.

14. Regrettably, it is not possible to give any refund on a Season Ticket once purchased.

15.Shortly before your Season Ticket is due to expire, you will be sent a renewa form to enable you to renew it for another year.
