Experience WORLD BANK Washington, DC 2012 – 2013 Impact Evaluation Coordinator  Designed impact evaluation plan for a universal health insurance pilot in using both matched difference- in-difference and instrumental variable methods.  Coordinated the development of parallel indicators between four health impact evaluations (in Nepal, , , and ) under the Strategic Impact Evaluation Fund (SIEF). Facilitated knowledge-sharing workshops to ensure the results from the four evaluations would be complementary.  Conducted data analysis for education and early childhood development impact evaluations in Africa.

INNOVATIONS FOR POVERTY ACTION Accra, Summer 2011 Teacher Community Assistant Initiative Intern  Provided training and project monitoring support to randomized controlled trial comparing remedial education interventions for primary school students.  Developed training materials including project monitoring and teacher training manuals, student testing tools, and training videos highlighting effective pedagogy and classroom management techniques.  Managed development and procurement of classroom teaching and learning materials for 400 schools.

AMERICAN INSTITUTES FOR RESEARCH Washington, DC 2007 – 2010 Project Associate Islamabad, Acting Project Manager (July – November 2008) Acting Director of Finance and Administration (November – December 2008)  Provided home office support to $90 million USAID education reform project (ED-LINKS) in Pakistan. Managed relationships with partner organizations, consultants, and expatriate staff. Developed work plans, budgets, and performance monitoring and evaluation plans. Oversaw project reporting to USAID.  Managed the procurement of over $2.5 million of U.S.-sourced equipment. As Acting Director of Finance and Administration, streamlined local procurement processes to increase efficiency and transparency.  Coordinated Pakistani student and teacher exchange programs to the U.S. for 80 students and 35 teachers.

UNITED STATES PEACE Bomborokuy, 2005 – 2007 Mathematics Teacher  Taught a total of over 600 village secondary school students. Developed curriculum that stressed critical thinking, gender equity, and HIV/AIDS awareness.  Supplemented in-class instruction with extracurricular educational opportunities for students including an English club, tutoring sessions, team math competitions, and a camp for girls’ empowerment.  Trained 20 incoming volunteers in effective teaching practices and strategies for sustainable development.  Elected by fellow volunteers to serve as the chairman of the Volunteer Advisory Committee representing the interests of the 120 Burkina Faso volunteers to Peace Corps Senior Administration.

Other HARVARD CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Cambridge, MA Professional Evidence for Policy Design Training Developer (September 2013 – Present) Activities  Developed training materials on the use of evidence in policy making for civil servants in and Pakistan, funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) Building Capacity to Use Research Evidence (BCURE) Program.  Authored and produced hour-long online interactive training modules on policy analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and commissioning evidence.

HARVARD SCHOOL Cambridge, MA Quantitative Methods Instructor (July – August 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015)  Instructed Mid-Career Master’s students in calculus and econometrics for month-long summer program.  Prepared curriculum, including lectures, classroom activities, and assessments.

HARVARD KENNEDY SCHOOL Cambridge, MA Presidential Instructional Technology Fellow (May 2012 – May 2013)  Produced four interactive video modules to supplement in-class instruction of a graduate-level econometrics class.  Developed materials for randomized experiments to evaluate the impact of video modules on student learning relative to that of assigned readings covering the same material.

MANHATTAN PREP Washington, DC Classroom Instructor and Tutor (2009 – Present) Boston, MA  Instructed young professionals in GMAT quantitative and verbal content and exam preparation strategies.  Constructed test items for computer adaptive practice exams and contributed original content to published test- prep literature (Foundations of GMAT Math, 5th Edition).  Received over 80 hours of training in GMAT content, classroom pedagogy, and item response theory.
