There are Scheduling Professional ongoing renovations to approximately 4,000 sf of first floor space also included. LEAN Professional BLACK ROCK CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH PHASE I, FAIRFIELD, CT Turner provided construction management as advisor services on for the completion of this project for the BRCC, which consists of construction of a new 68,000 sf church facility on the same footprint as the existing church. The new building includes a sanctuary, classrooms, offices and a welcome center. STRATFORD HIGH SCHOOL RENOVATIONS AND ADDITIONS, STRATFORD, CT Tim is serving as senior project manager on this 230,000 sf project which includes a 126,951 gsf new building constructed on an existing sports field across from the existing school building. The project also includes extensive demolition to the existing building, renovations and additions and a prefabricated elevated walkway. GREENWICH HIGH SCHOOL, MUSIC AND INSTRUCTIONAL SPACE AUDITORIUM Black Rock Congregational Church Tim led the effort on this new performing arts addition including a state of the art theater with a mezzanine, balcony and orchestra pit which has a mechanically operated platform. PURDUE PHARMA, STAMFORD, CT This challenging project included the selective demolition, interior renovation and fit-out of a 13 floor, 529,000 sf building and garage. PROCUREMENT AGENT Tim served as procurement agent where he managed the pre-qualification process for trade contractors, managed a competitive procurement process, implements and executes strategy to utilize local & MWBE subcontractors in compliance with State Stratford High School Statutes and manages the award and contracting process for all trade contractors. SCHEDULING MANAGEMENT GREENWICH COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL UPPER SCHOOL AND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, GREENWICH, CT Tim provided scheduling management on this 85,000 sf project which consisted of a new Upper School building and Theater building, and associated site work at the campus. YALE UNIVERSITY-MORSE & STILES COLLEGES Extensive renovation of the existing 255,000 gsf Morse and Stiles Colleges which houses approximately 500 students in total and the construction of a 30,000 sf underground addition. Site improvements include a large retaining wall, site stairs, hardscape and parking area. Although this is a municipal owner, the project is entirely funded from a private donation. GREENWICH COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL STANWICH CAMPUS, GREENWICH, CT This project consists of the renovations and additions to the Stanwich School campus to convert it to a High School for Greenwich Country Day School. The job has 4 major components - Building Addition, Building Renovation, Sitework Circulation / Utilities Payden Fieldhouse and a new Wastewater treatment facility. YALE-NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL – MISC. PROJECTS, NEW HAVEN, CT Craig has served as an Engineer on the YNHH York Street Campus, where he is overseeing the entire safety effort on multiple renovation projects in an occupied healthcare environment for this repeat client. Its projects and programs are addressing real needs in the community. The 2015/2016 year was an exciting time for the Junior League of Greenwich as it continued to expand its reach and impact through its community work. Some of the project highlights include: our self- empowerment programs, PositivelyMe! and Positively More, which target 3rd and 6th grade girls respectively, and reach over 300 local girls each year; the inception of our Young Women’s Breast Cancer Support Group; our transition of the Greenwich Youth Film Festival to the Garden Education Group; our many New Member projects including a renovation of the teen room at the Boys and Girls Club, Baby Bundles and New Mommy Bundles to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor, renovation projects at Kids in Crisis, a Viva Las Vegas event at Riverhouse Adult “Our League has made a Day Care; and lastly, Done in a Day, which held various events significant and meaningful around town including but not limited to: a food drive to benefit impact on Greenwich lives.     Dear Members of the Public Health Committee, Typically during testimony, I would explain how this bill impacts my family specifically, but today I want to talk about the numbers. The whole impetus of this bill which aims to remove the religious exemption right now is not because of an emergency or public health crisis, but because of the possibility of one in the future. The Department of Public Health released vaccination data that shows an increase in the use of the religious exemption from one year to the next and “dangerous pockets” of low vaccination rates. I’ve poured over the numbers like children’s lives depend on it, because, frankly it does. The data I’ve used is from the Department of Public Health immunization surveys and the Department of Education’s student enrollment numbers for the 2018-2019 school year. But unfortunately there are many flaws in the data: • Using the supplied data and getting less than one child with an RE or percentages of a child. • Enrollment was less than 30 students and data was still supplied. • Schools with only Pre-Kindergarten students are used in the averages. I’m going to focus on the public school numbers since they are available from the State of CT EdSight database. For public schools, the increase from last school year to the previous year is an average of one religious exemption per public school. ONE. In the 2018-2019 school year there were 530,612 students in public K-12. With an overall exemption rate of 1.8%, that accounts for 9,551 RE.

    Academic Year 2018-2019 COMMON ADMISSION TESTING PROGRAM (For students applying to 3rd and 4th grades in September 2018) Brunswick School, Sacred Heart Greenwich Greenwich Academy, The Greenwich Country Day School King School, The Stanwich School, Whitby School Overview Many families in the Greenwich/Stamford area apply to more than one local independent school. Because all the schools in the program screen applicants using sections of the Educational Records Bureau, CTP 4, a common testing program eliminates multiple testing for the applicant and provides families greater flexibility in scheduling. Standardized testing is only one aspect of the admissions process. Consideration is also given to school records, school visits and family interviews. Observation of younger children and other special evaluations may also be required depending upon the school and grade level. Regardless of which school serves as the test center, parents may request test results to be sent to any independent school in the program. Scheduling Tests are offered 7 Saturdays between November 4, 2017 and January 20, 2018. We encourage applicants to take this required test as early as possible to provide make-up time in the event of unanticipated illness or a weather cancellation. Please check each school’s application deadlines, allowing 15 days for ERB to send test results to the schools. Description of Tests Applicants will be given sections of the Educational Records Bureau, CTP 4. These assessments include achievement tests in reading comprehension and mathematics. The tests are objective and multiple-choice in format. In addition, students will be assigned a writing sample on a given topic.
