The man who shot an apparent intrud- er to death and wounded another in his home Thursday is himself a convicted felon who may face charges for unlawful possession of a firearm, according to sheriff’s officials. Under Florida law, convicted felons are not permitted to possess firearms. However, no decision has been made Travis Brown concerning possible charges against Simmons, according to Sgt.
