Coordinador del No. 6 Un balance preliminar Desde 1990, hemos tenido entre los propOsitosfundamentales de ASOVELE, llevar adelante un proyecto editorialdiferente. Ya en 1992 daba sus primeros frutos con la publicaciôn delos Nos. 1 de CLAVE, Temas del Espanol y Estudios del Espanol. Enlos efts siguientes, mantuvithos esta revista y sustifuimos lasotras dos series, por ediciones monograficas. El resultado de esta laborse puede valorar en los indices incluidos al final de este mismo nümero,sin embargo, anotaremos algunos aspectos relevantes. Hasta el momento, casi 80 autores de diversasinstituciones del pais y del exterior (BrasH, Cuba, Curazao, España, Estados Unidos, PoIonia, entre otros) han sometido sus trabajos alproceso de selecciOn y arbitraje. Hemos cubierto diversas areas,no obstante, por nuestros mismos objetivos la atenciOnse ha centrado en el campo .de la linguistica aplicada a la ensehanza de la lenguay sus areas conexas. Es de sehalar que hemos abierto espaciosa temas relacionados con la educaciOn especial (en area como dificultadesauditivas y trastornos del aprendizaje), a las lenguas indigenas,a la literature y otras que estan cercanas al campo de acción de ASOVELE. Tres seccionesse han mantenido con cierta regularidad dentro de nuestros diversosnUmeros; Experiencias ha admitido registros de trabajoshechos por docentes en funciones, como propuestas a ser discutidas; Notasabre Sus paginas a textos que por su extension opor su contenido no pueden ser colocados en las secciones especializadas; Reseriassinre &no 'unb fuente de informaciOn documentaday actualizada de la producciOn linguistica. Podemos considerar que, pesea las dificultades que se hart. afrontado, CLAVE como ASOVELE 7 se ha instalado con firmeza en el panorama educativo y de investigaciOn del pais.No obstante, en esta CLAVE No. 6 1997 Presentación Presentación, queremos expresar nuestra posickin sobre otos temas que afectan la funci6n del editor de revistas. La labor del editor: entre la dignidad y la lucha contra la burocracia CLAVE tiene la particularidad de ser autofinanciada ya que no percibe ningün tipo de subsidio u aporte especial de personas o instituciones. Las actividades que realiza la Asociaciim, en la que todos trabajamos ad honorem, permiten ir cubriendo los costos de cada publicacien. De esa manera, los primeros ntimeros fueron costeados con los ingresos de las convenciones y los siguientes con los de las Jomadas de Didactica de la Lengua Materna (realizadas en Maracay, Caracas, Margarita, Maturin, San Crist6bal, San Fernando de Apure 3 y Coro) y las yentas de las anteriores. En tal sentido, los equipos coordinados por Miguel Tovar, Faustino Alonso y Rudy Mostacero pilares fundamentales de la Asociación y sus nücleos, y Arturo Linares, AntonioMurguey yRitaJaimes entusiastasyconsecuentes colaboradores - han hecho un aporte que va mucho más allá de lo puntual de las actividades que en su momento organizaron, a ellos se suman más de 40 facilitadores de talleres, conferencistas y foristas que, como todos, dieron su desipteresada colaboraciôn. Debemos agregar una efectiva labor de comercializaciôn de las publicaciones: al contrario de lo que suele ocurrir con similares, el tiraje de todas ellas (excepto, como es obvio, de los ültimos nUmeros de CLAVE), se ha agotado en poco menos de dos atios. Anotaremos que esta actividad se ha dado en un marco de distorsión provocado por la actitud fahseisca de las burocracias universitahas, ministehales y de organismos como el Conicit que, en lugar de promover a investigacidon - no conocemos estudios confiables sobre sus resultados han Ilevado a laproliferaciem de "coleccionistas de recaudos" que luego engrosan las nóminas del Programa de Promociôn del Investigador (PPI) o del CONABA (beneficio académico). Queremos dejar bien establecido que muchos de los que figuran en esos beneficios han hecho suficientes méritos para ser considerados más que econômicamente, académicamente, pero las estructuras han sido permeables para que ingresen quienes, en realidad, no han justificado esas distinciones (como ocurria antes con las

Darby Dyar, Astronomy Approved By: Christopher Condit, Geology CE Type: Departmental Honors Project Using a gridded version of maritan topography with the computer program Gridview, this project studied the depth-diameter relationship of martian impact craters. The work encompasses 361 profiles of impacts with diameters larger than 15 kilometers and is a continuation of work that was started at the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, Texas under the guidance of Dr. Walter S. Keifer. Using the most ‘pristine,’ or deepest craters in the data a depth-diameter relationship was determined: d = 0.610D 0.327 , where d is the depth of the crater and D is the diameter of the crater, both in kilometers. This relationship can then be used to estimate the theoretical depth of any impact radius, and therefore can be used to estimate the pristine shape of the crater. With a depth-diameter ratio for a particular crater, the measured depth can then be compared to this theoretical value and an estimate of the amount of material within the crater, or fill, can then be calculated. The data includes 140 named impact craters, 3 basins, and 218 other impacts. The named data encompasses all named impact structures of greater than 100 kilometers in diameter.

    APPENDIX I LUNAR AND MARTIAN NOMENCLATURE LUNAR AND MARTIAN NOMENCLATURE A large number of names of craters and other features on the Moon and Mars, were accepted by the IAU General Assemblies X (Moscow, 1958), XI (Berkeley, 1961), XII (Hamburg, 1964), XIV (Brighton, 1970), and XV (Sydney, 1973). The names were suggested by the appropriate IAU Commissions (16 and 17). In particular the Lunar names accepted at the XIVth and XVth General Assemblies were recommended by the 'Working Group on Lunar Nomenclature' under the Chairmanship of Dr D. H. Menzel. The Martian names were suggested by the 'Working Group on Martian Nomenclature' under the Chairmanship of Dr G. de Vaucouleurs. At the XVth General Assembly a new 'Working Group on Planetary System Nomenclature' was formed (Chairman: Dr P. M. Millman) comprising various Task Groups, one for each particular subject.     14 Utredningar, åtgärder och behandling 14.1 Socialtjänsten Socialnämnden skall verka för att alla barn och ungdomar växer upp under trygga och goda förhållanden och ha ett särskilt ansvar för barn som riskerar att fara illa. Nämnden skall enligt 5 kap. 1 § socialtjänstlagen (2001:453): i nära samarbete med hemmet sörja för att barn och ungdom som riskerar att utvecklas ogynnsamt får det skydd och stöd som de be- höver och, om hänsynen till den unges bästa motiverar det, vård och fostran utanför det egna hemmet. Sexuella övergrepp mot barn är inget nytt problemområde för socialtjänsten. Det har varit en uppmärksammad fråga sedan 1980- talet. Inom utbildning, forskning och praktik har socialtjänsten och andra myndigheter alltså haft flera decennier på sig att utveckla me- toder för utredning och behandling. Sexuell exploatering däremot är ett relativt nytt fenomen, där erfarenheter och kunskaper i stort sett saknas. Problem som man knappast vet existerar ser man inte, än mindre frågar man efter dem. När utredningen träffat företrädare för socialtjänsten och frågat efter deras kunskap om sexuell exploatering av barn, har svaret i allmänhet blivit att man inte haft några sådana ärenden. Efter en stunds eftertanke och diskussion har många dock insett, att en del av problematiken i några av deras ärenden förmodligen handlat om sexuell exploatering. Fokus har emellertid legat på andra problem som missbruk, rymning, kriminalitet och skolk. Sådana problem är socialtjänsten väl bekant med. 161 Utredningar, åtgärder och behandling SOU 2004:71 14.1.1 Med barnet i fokus? Barnkonvention slår fast att barnets bästa ska komma i främsta rummet vid alla åtgärder som rör barn.
