Sponsor Informations 2020 What Is Hanfparade? Since 1997 Every Year the Hanfparade (Hemp Parade) Takes Place in Berlin Sponsor Informations 2020 What is Hanfparade? Since 1997 every year the Hanfparade (hemp parade) takes place in Berlin. It is the most traditional and biggest rally for cannabis legaliza- tion in Germany. Every year many thousands of pro-cannabis protest- ers and activists from Germany participate. Also about one hundred thousand tourists and citizens walk by the demonstration with a lot of speeches and concerts in the center of Berlin! The next edition of Hanfparade is scheduled on Saturday, 8th August, 2020. In the last years there has been a rise of interest in the plant hemp in all its facets. This is especially noticeable as media starts to report a lot more and open-minded about the topic. We want to use this upward trend by using selective online advertising as well as outdoor poster advertising in the biggest German cities to reach far more people. Schedule of Hanfparade In 2020 the upbeat rally starts at 12pm at Alexanderplatz, the historical heart of Berlin. This is also the most important tourist route of Berlin, with hundreds of thousands visitors per day. We meet at Spandauer Street at the central stage, in front of the Mayors House and TV-Tower. The start of the march and the closing party will be at the same place for the first time in history of the Hanfparade. So the information booths, the forum for hemp medicine and the hemp mile can stay open throughout the day and don’t have to be reassembled. And instead of two small stages we will have a large stage that will be pretty impressive. The rally with the float trucks starts at 3:00pm. Thousands of people will walk through well-established streets and most popu- lar tourist regions in the city center of Berlin. At 6:00pm we will arrive back at Alexanderplatz with a glance at the well-known ”Rote Rathaus” (red town hall). The closing party with speeches and music concerts will end at 10:00pm. Jakis e.V. - Mühlendamm 5, 10178 Berlin, Deutschland (Germany) | V.i.S.d.P. : Martin Steldinger Satz und Layout von Lippe | Grafiken von Doro The Industrial hemp areal At the end of the rally, you can experience the raw material hemp with all senses. Thanks to our partners Hanf Museum Berlin and Hanffaser Fabrik Uckermark we show hemp fibers, shives and seeds on their way from the field to German supermarkets. Forum for hemp medicine The forum for hemp medicine on the hemp parade is all about the medic- inal plant cannabis. Patients, physicians and active people here answer questions about diagnoses, exemptions and assumption of costs. The hemp mile The “Hanfmeile” - hemp mile - invites visitors to the Hanfparade to gain an overview of the German legalization movement at numerous information stands. Here you can get to know active people and campaigns, collect information material and become active yourself. The stage On the stage at the Alexanderplatz representatives of the international Legalization scene, artists and victims in interviews, speeches and musical performanc- es show how they use hemp and promote its legalization. Our message at Hanfparade The use of cannabis is less harmful for the individual person and society than the two legal drugs alcohol and nicotine. Regardless of this the prohibition under the narcotics law (“Betäubungsmittelgesetz”) remains the reason for the so-called health protection. But through to the lack of controls, quality standards and drug-education however con- taminations caused by extenders remain and there is no protection for anyone. The prohibition policy has miserably failed. The Drug and Addiction-Report published in 2017 by the Federal Commisioner for drugs, Marlene Mortler, shows this as well. It states that despite prohibition more people mostly under-age use cannabis in Germany. The cannabis as medicine law passed in March 2017 in Germany was definitely a step in the right direction. Since than the cost for medical cannabis should be covered by the health insurance in severe cases. But still patients are having a hard time finding a doctor and receiving their medicine due to shortages. We demand a massive reduction in the bureaucracy, better supplies and the right to grow your own medicine as well as educational training courses and seminars for doctors. Our aim in 2020 is to give a chance to many activists to present their visions for a better cannabis policy. Protection can only work together with education and not with fear. Prohibition inhibits youth and user protection by stigmatizing the topic. Every adult should have the right to use cannabis as a stimulant and grow it at home or in so called “Cannabis Social Clubs” or as well buy it at specialist distributors under federal quality control and youth protection. Part of the profits should be used for progressive education, prevention and youth protection projects. The cultivation and processing of industrial hemp shouldn’t be treated differently from other plants and the bureaucratic burden has to be drastically reduced. We think it’s time to take away the bad stigma from this wonderful and versatile plant and make its full scope known and the benefits it could bring to the general public. Hemp has a promising future and a wide range of possible applications. It can be used for clothes, medicine, building material and „super food“. By educating the misinformed public many environmentally friendly alternatives could be shown up. “20 years Hanfparade!” - Informaion for Sponsors The Hanfparade is the longest running tradiional demonstraion for the legalizaion of cannabis as raw material, medicine and recreaional drug in Germany. Since 1997, it takes place every year in Berlin. The 20th Hanfparade is scheduled for Saturday, 13th of August 2016. Who we are The Hanfparade is planned and carried out through weekly organizaional team meeings in the Hanf (Hemp) Museum Berlin. The organizaional team is an alliance of currently around one dozen voluntary acive people, which will accomplish the organizaional work for the Hanfparade 2016. They are supported by a naionwide network of interested persons and organizaions, for example through distribuion of printed materials. For the inancial accomplishment of Hanfparade the registered society “JaKiS e.V.” was founded in November of 2009 – with all board members in the organizing team represented, serving as a legal enity. What we want Into the future with the historical resource hemp! For 10,000 years hemp has been appreciated by man as a provider of durable ibres, versaile shives and nutriious seed oil. A wide range of trendseing products from heaing pellets to Cannabis bio plasics exist today, having one thing in common – their markeing is condiioned with the “sigma” of the drug plant. To oppose this view Hanfparade organizes the “Industrial Hemp Area”, where we present the variety of legal cannabis applicaions such as clothing, food and construcion materials. Free Cannabis medicines for all those who need them! The use of cannabis as a medicine is not legal in Germany. Only around 400 paients have a dispensaion (under §3, BtMG – controlled substances legislaion), which allows them to access medicinal cannabis.

Understanding the resources available to those searching for cannabis apps will clarify how this technology is being used to reflect and influence cannabis use behavior. Objective: We investigated the content of 59 cannabis-related mobile apps for Apple and Android devices as of November 26, 2014. Methods: The Apple and Google Play app stores were searched using the terms ªcannabisº and ªmarijuana.º Three trained coders classified the top 20 apps for each term and each store, using a coding guide. Apps were examined for the presence of 20 content codes derived by the researchers. Results: Total apps available for each search term were 124 for cannabis and 218 for marijuana in the Apple App Store, and 250 each for cannabis and marijuana on Google Play.

  • Legalizeitnow Nia Roberts Agnes Scott College WDC 618
#LegalizeItNow Nia Roberts Agnes Scott College WDC 618 – Technologies of Social Change Dr. Mina Ivanova Overview The push to legalize cannabis has been trending in the U.S. since the 1960s when recreational marijuana use started becoming popular. The shift caused the political and cultural climate surrounding cannabis to become more lenient, giving way to increased images and references of marijuana in popular culture and subsequently causing the formation of pro-cannabis advocacy groups and organizations. Currently, however, the only types of activism taking place to support the decriminalization of cannabis in the U.S. consists of lobbying by nonprofit organizations, such as NORML and the Drug Policy Alliance, and festivals like the Boston Freedom Rally, the Global Marijuana March and the Seattle Hempfest. While each method of activism serves as a valid form of celebrating human rights, educating individuals on the harmful impacts of criminalizing cannabis and advocating for fair federal- and state-level cannabis laws, examples of formal online activism is noticeably absent. Currently, organizations are pushing to gain support for The Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment, and Expungement (MORE) Act, a bipartisan legislation that removes marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act, thus decriminalizing the substance at the federal level and enabling states to set their own policies. In December 2020, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the MORE Act. If approved by the Senate, the bill will: • Expunge prior convictions related to marijuana • Tax cannabis products at 5% to fund criminal and social reform projects • Prohibit the denial of any federal public benefits, such as housing, as a result of marijuana use and/or possession.

Now countries and jurisdictions around the world are dismantling it piece by piece and starting to build a new drug policy architecture that ushers in a new era of health-based policy making fit for the 21st century.1 Nowhere are the foundations of this new approach to drugs more obvious than in the global movement towards regulated, legalised cannabis markets. And despite the US being the ostensible leader of the ‘war on drugs’, it has been US states at the forefront of this move.
