Castañeda duly authorized for this purpose, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the PROCURING EN Ill Y is desirous that the CONTRACTOR executes the Works under Contract ID: 20LA0189 - Construction/Concreting of Road National Highway Junction, Brgy. Binasbas Mangloy, Imelda, Laak, Compostela Valley, Laak, Davao de Oro hereinafter called "the Works," and the ENTITY has accepted the Calculated Bid of the CONTRACTOR for the execution and completion of the Works at the calculated unit bid process shown in the attached Bill of Quantities, or a total Contract price of Sixty Six Million One Hundred Eighty Thousand Five Hundred Forty Nine Pesos and 77/100 (Php 66,180,549.77) to be completed within Two Hundred Eleven (211) Calendar Days. NOW THEREFORE, for and consideration of the foregoing premises, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. In this CONTRACT AGREEMENT, words and expressions shall have the same meanings as are respectively assigned to them in the Conditions of Contract hereinafter referred to. 2. Cooperatives in the nation now highlight the statement embedded in the Cooperative Pledge which states that, “Alone I am weak, but with others I am strong”, by helping not only their members but also the communities where they belong. Community Quarantine in Region XI started sometime in March 2020. In the spirit of cooperativism, cooperatives in Region XI took initiatives to support the need of their members, their communities and the frontliners. “Bayanihan” is now trending in social media and a lot of people are now helping to contain this pandemic. The following cooperatives took part in extending assistance to those in need: DAVAO CITY SUBASTA AGRARIAN REFORM BENEFICIARIES AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE (SARBAC) As its way of giving honor and thanks to the frontliners, the Subasta Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Agricultural Cooperative (SARBAC) from Calinan, Davao City gave food packs to the personnel assigned at the Task Force Check point area in Wangan, Calinan, Davao City last March 27, 2019. SARBAC officers recognized the importance of frontliners in making sure that the virus not spread further. Their great sacrifice for their community and country in safeguarding the lives of the people is beyond greatness worthy of recognition. Under Section 4 (g) thereof, the President is empowered to ensure that all local government units (LGUs) are acting within the letter and spirit of all the rules, regulations and directives issued by the National Government pursuant to the said law, and are implementing standards of Community Quarantine consistent with what the National Government has laid down for the subject area, while allowing the LGUs to continue exercising their autonomy on matters undefined by the National Government or are within the parameters it has set, and are fully cooperating towards a unified, cohesive and orderly implementation of the national policy to address COVID-19. Abastillas Senior Weather Specialist, CAD-CLIMPS ENSO STATUS Climate Outlook (OCTOBER 2021 – MARCH 2022) Summary In the last four weeks, equatorial SSTs were near- to-below average across most of the equatorial Pacific Ocean, and were above average in the western Pacific Ocean. Conditions in the Tropical Pacific Ocean As of 20 September 2021: Negative subsurface temperature anomalies persisted into March 2021. From mid-March to early July 2021, subsurface temperature was above average. Since mid-May 2021, positive temperature anomalies have weakened. Negative anomalies strengthened in July and again in mid-September. Source: NOAA CPC 5 Model Predictions of ENSO from Sep 2021 Most of the models in the set of dynamical and statistical model predictions issued during mid- September 2021 show below-average SST conditions likely to cool further in coming months. During the Sep-Nov through Dec-Feb seasons, La Niña conditions are favored over ENSO-neutral. For Jan-Mar, the odds are more equal. This re-emergence of La Niña is predicted to potentially persist long enough to constitute a La Niña event.
