Le PDU définit les principes d’organisation des déplacements de personnes et du transport des marchandises, de la circulation et du stationnement. Il fixe des objectifs, il établit une méthode et une organisation, il détermine les principaux chantiers à mener, il prévoit des financements. Les mesures proposées ont pour but d’améliorer les transports collectifs, de favoriser les modes de déplacements « doux » - vélo et marche à pied – et ainsi diminuer le trafic automobile. PROJET DE DELIBERATION EXPOSE DES MOTIFS Mesdames, Messieurs, Comme annoncé dans la délibération des 7 et 8 juillet 2008 sur l’évolution du paysage parisien sur sa couronne, le site de la Porte de Versailles se prête à la réalisation d’un projet ambitieux qui nécessite aujourd’hui, après une première étape d’étude, débat et concertation, l’engagement d’une révision simplifiée du Plan Local d’Urbanisme. Le projet Triangle a pour ambition de devenir une œuvre architecturale majeure, symbole du dynamisme de Paris à l’échelle métropolitaine et de son renouveau urbain. Son positionnement au cœur de la Porte de Versailles vise à renforcer l’attractivité économique de la capitale mais aussi à favoriser une véritable liaison urbaine entre Paris et les communes voisines, qui fait aujourd’hui défaut. A cet égard, les Villes d’Issy-les-Moulineaux et de Vanves ont fait part de leur intérêt et de leur soutien vis-à-vis de ce projet. L’ambition première de ce projet est économique, il s’agit d’accueillir de l’ordre de 5.000 nouveaux emplois sur le site et de renforcer le dynamisme de ce quartier de Paris, en s’appuyant sur des réalisations d’envergure, comme l’arrivée récente de deux lignes de tramway à la Porte de Versailles. Les porteurs du projet ont fait appel à une prestigieuse agence d’architecture : l’agence suisse Herzog et de Meuron.
