About Gettysburg College There are no bystanders at Gettysburg, a national col- lege of liberal arts and sciences founded in 1832. Our 2,600 students prize our academically rigorous and per- sonally challenging experience, which features an aver- age class size of 18 and a student-faculty ratio of 10:1. Close student-faculty collaboration is the norm, frequently leading to joint publications and presentations at scholarly meetings. Gettysburg’s more than 200 full-time faculty members are accomplished teachers and scholars. One hundred of tenured faculty hold a doctorate or the highest degree in their fi eld.

Students come to Gettysburg not only for the challenge offered by 67 majors, minors, and academic programs, but also for wide-ranging opportunities such as our Eisenhower Institute for leadership and public policy, our Civil War Institute, and our Sunderman Conservatory of Music. Our programs include preparation for professional schools in law, medicine, and the allied health sciences. More than half of students study abroad before they gradu- ate. Each year, students provide thousands of volunteer hours through Gettysburg’s Center for Public Service. Approximately 70 percent of the student body receives fi nancial aid.

Our beautiful 200-acre campus is suffused with history. The Union and Confederate armies swept through Get- tysburg College during the Civil war’s pivotal battle on July 1-3, 1863 and transformed Pennsylvania Hall into a hospital for troops. A few months later, Gettysburg students processed through town to hear President Lincoln hallow thethe NaNationaltional CemeteryCemetery withwith hishis GettysburgGettysburg Address.AAddress. Starting with the 1980 season, when the Bullets fashioned a 6-3-1 record, he guided the program to winning records for eight consecutive years, the longest such streak in school history. In 1985, he guided Gettysburg to its third consecu- tive Centennial Conference Championship and its inaugural appearance in the NCAA Division III playoffs, advancing all the way to the national semifi nals and fi nishing with an 11-1-1 record. His 1994 squad posted an 8-2 mark and set numerous conference records.

A 1971 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, Streeter earned two varsity letters as a tight end on the football team and two as a defenseman on the school’s lacrosse team. In 2003, he was inducted into Lebanon Valley’s Hall of Fame. Streeter became an astute student of the Delaware Wing-T, which is the basis for Gettysburg’s Spread Wing offense.

Streeter has two sons, Jason and Brandon, and two daughters, Kelly and Lindsey. Jason played football at Lehigh University, and Brandon - a current assistant football coach at the University of Richmond - was a starting quar- terback for Clemson University.
