DATA SOURCES AND RELIABILITY: This list has been derived from data extracted from the Biological Survey, Opportune, Plant Population and Reserves databases which are components of the Biological Databases of South managed by the Department for Environment and Heritage.

The lists are intended to provide an accurate summary of indigenous and naturalised species recorded for a Reserve. However, since the information within the databases has come from a variety of sources and methodologies the species list may contain errors and should be used with caution. The Department's policy is to not record planted species. However, where planted species have been recorded, they are listed as "rejected".

Most Reserves do not have comprehensive species lists backed up by specimen collection and accordingly conclusive checking of species determinations may be limited. SPECIES RELIABILITY: Reliability Codes are used to summarise the reliability of a species record:

"Rejected" records are those whose initial identification have either been planted or have been assessed as incorrect, e.g. the species may not occur in the region.

"Presumed" records are those substituted for another database record thought to have been incorrectly identified. No voucher specimen was collected for the record thought to have been incorrectly identified for the Reserve and there is still doubt over the accuracy of the presumed record.

"Questionable" records are those for which the initial identification is thought questionable, yet cannot be conclusively discounted.

"Extinct" records are for species that are thought to no longer occur in the Reserve, e.g. weeds that may have been removed, or other that cannot be re-located despite intensive searches. KEY TO AUSTRALIAN (AUS) CONSERVATION STATUS CODES: Codes are based on the current listing of species under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Please note that this annotation only provides a guide to designations of status. The Act should be consulted directly where certainty is required.

E Endangered V Vulnerable CD Conservation Dependent (active management of threats and reintroductions)

Note that there is no Rare category under the EPBC Act. KEY TO SOUTH AUSTRALIAN (SA) CONSERVATION STATUS CODES: Codes are based on Schedules of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 (SA) as amended in 2002. Please note this list only provides a guide to status under this Act. There may be discrepancies and omissions that result from differences in and nomenclature. In a number of cases, new names applied in the schedules have not yet been applied to the FLORA database from which this list is derived. In some cases status designations under the NPWS ACT have been applied to 'equivalent' names that have been used in to refer to the same taxonomic entity. Where certainty is required, the schedules should be consulted directly to determine official designations under the NPWS Act.

E Endangered (Schedule 7, Part 2) Note that there is no category specifically for species that are presumed to be extinct. Instead these are included in the Endangered category. V Vulnerable (Schedule 8, Part 2) R Rare (Schedule 9, Part 2)

LAST RECORD: This is the date for the last record held in the Databases
