A new rule applies to BBL10. One Bash Boost Point will be available for each match. It will be claimed by whichever team has the higher score at the 10-over mark in their innings. If the scores are tied at the 10-over mark the teams will each earn 0.5 points. The Stars have the most impressive and consistent record of all teams, only missing the finals in BBL07 (2017/18) when, to add insult to injury, they finished bottom of the table. Notwithstanding, the Stars have yet to win a final; their record in eight finals appearances being three runners-up and beaten semi-finalists five times. After nine seasons of the tournament the only other team yet to win a final is the Hobart Hurricanes.
