The City is committed to supporting existing food and beverage businesses and aims to ensure that the program complements the city’s existing food and beverage economy. As a result, the program has been developed after extensive community and business consultation and the implementation of 12-month trial that took place from July 2015 to July 2016. -

The state-of-the-art facility was unveiled on Sunday 3 April during a special community event that included skating demonstrations, local musicians and children’s activities. Designed by a local designer with input by the local skating fraternity, the skate park, which has been built to national and international scale, will have the potential to host major competitions. It includes an international standard competition street course and bowl, and a stage to be used for the council’s Carols by Candlelight and other events. Clarence Mayor Doug Chipman said it was exciting to see the skate park finally come to fruition after working with young members of the commu- nity, the skating fraternity and sporting groups.
