En mi caso son tantas, tantas a las personas a quien les tengo que agradecer que podría ocupar parte de un capítulo pero intentaré ser breve. En primer lugar a mi directora, Cristina López Villar, porque sin ella, sin su apoyo y con- fianza en mí, su trabajo, esfuerzo, dedicación, sabiduría y paciencia, esto que hoy presento no existiría. En segundo lugar, son tantos a los que debo agradecer su apoyo, ayuda y amistad que, en mi compromiso de brevedad, no podría citarlos personalmente. Ellos saben que estarán siempre en mi pensamiento y en mi corazón. Da Vida Pelo Teatro: a Atriz E Empresária Amélia Rey Colaço
DA VIDA PELO TEATRO: A ATRIZ E EMPRESÁRIA AMÉLIA REY COLAÇO JOANA D’EÇA LEAL RESUMO Amélia Rey Colaço (1898-1990) foi uma das figuras de maior relevo no teatro português do século XX. As suas origens na alta burguesia lisboeta – apesar do cosmopolitismo que marcava a sua família – conferiram um caráter de exceção à sua escolha da profissão de atriz, até então fora do leque de escolhas de uma jovem de classe alta. Conseguiu, em pouco tempo, tornar-se um nome de referência no meio teatral, antes ainda do seu casamento com o ator Robles Monteiro (1888-1958). Com ele, criou a Companhia Rey Colaço-Robles Monteiro (1921-1974), uma das companhias de maior longevidade do teatro português, e um caso singular no panorama dos grupos teatrais de então. Responsável pela direção artística da companhia desde o início, Amélia Rey Colaço assumiu também a gestão da mesma após a morte do seu marido, em 1958, conseguindo manter a companhia concessionária do Teatro Nacional D. Maria II até 1974, ano em que deu como encerrada a sua atividade logo após a revolução de 25 de Abril. Em Amélia Rey Colaço convergem vários vetores, aparentemente contraditórios, que a tornaram numa figura particularmente interessante: algo conservadora nos costumes, mas liberal nas escolhas artísticas; de porte aristocrático, mas realizando todos os trabalhos no teatro, incluindo pintar cenários; diplomática com o poder vigente, mas tentando insistentemente levar à cena autores proibidos. Este artigo pretende olhar para esta figura enquanto mulher de exceção no seu meio e no seu tempo, e para a forma como o seu percurso marcou o teatro português. -

UN POEMA INÈDIT SOBRE LA GUERRA DE LA SUCCESSIÓ AL ROSSELLÓ HELENA ROVIRA-CERDÀ [email protected] ORCID ID: 0000-0002-2565-6183 Resum Editem i contextualitzem breument un poema inèdit i desconegut copiat al ms. 1052 de la Biblioteca de la Universitat de Barcelona. Pels esdeveniments al·ludits, aquesta obra ha de datar de l’inici de la Guerra de la Successió (1702-1715), probablement de juny de 1706 o poc després. L’autor anònim s’adreça directament a l’arxiduc Carles d’Àustria tot incitant-lo a deixar la conquesta d’Aragó per la del Rosselló, on comptarà amb el suport de la po- blació autòctona. Aquesta peça constitueix un document notable sobre l’impacte d’aquest conflicte bèl·lic a la Catalunya del Nord uns cinquanta anys després d’haver estat annexionada a la corona de França en el Tractat dels Pirineus (1659). Judging from the events mentio- ned, this work must date from the beginning of the War of the Spanish Suc- cession (1702-1715), probably in June 1706 or shortly thereafter. The anony- mous author goes straight to the Archduke Charles III of Austria, urging him to change the conquest of Aragon for the conquest of Roussillon, where he will have the support of the local populace. -

Trata-se de uma obra memorialista que abrange tamb´emos quatro anos «de ferro e fogo» (BLASCO, M., 1938: 113) que a actriz e escritora portuguesa Mercedes Blasco, o marido e os dois filhos viveram na cidade belga de Li`egesob ocupa¸c˜aoalem˜adurante a Primeira Guerra Mundial. A segunda parte do livro, intitulada Na B´elgicaHeroica. 1914-1919 e que est´adividida em 16 cap´ıtulos, come¸cacom uma breve explica¸c˜aosobre a verdadeira causa do assass´ıniodo arquiduque do Imp´erioAustro-H´ungaroFrancisco Fernando, que mais n˜aofoi do que a «continua¸c˜aode outros epis´odios»(BLASCO, M., 1920: 206), e termina com uma homenagem ao povo belga, um povo «dotado para a lucta com vontade tenaz e intelligencia rija» (id.: 301). Como a pr´opriaautora explica, n˜aose trata de uma «obra de histori´ografo» (id.: 205), mas, sim, de «uma compila¸c˜aode notas colhidas no centro mesmo da guerra e d’algumas observa¸c˜oespessoais» (id.: 205). O livro foi escrito ap´oso seu regresso a Portugal, pois «era imposs´ıvelescrever qualquer coisa sobre a guerra, na Belgica, visto que os allem˜aesandavam sempre a fazer persegui¸c˜oes em casa de cada um» (id.: 305). -

RESUMO António Cardoso (de seu nome completo António José Ferreira Cardoso), nascido em Lisboa em 1861 e falecido na mesma cidade em 1917, foi um importante ator português de finais do séc. XIX e início do séc. XX. Estreou-se como amador em 1878 na Sociedade Guilherme Cossoul na comédia Casar por Anúncio. Como profissional, estreou-se no Teatro do Rato em 1881 na comédia Zé Povinho. Entrou para o Teatro do Ginásio em 1883, fazendo parte do elenco da comédia A Medalha da Virgem . -
