The participation of the audience as a producer and consumer, the changing industry strategy, and the new ways of brand integration in this new broadcasting environment were examined through content analysis. The analysis results reveal the audience management strategies of the Turkish broadcasting industry and the audience’s position as producer and consumer in this new ecosystem. Olayları algılama düzeyleri ve yorumlama yetenekleri gelişme aşamasında olan çocuklar, özellikle tematik çocuk kanallarının yayına başlamasıyla birlikte yeni bir televizyon yayıncılığı anlayışının etkilerine maruz kalmışlardır. Bu çalışmada Elazığ örneğinden hare- ketle, televizyonun çocukları üzerindeki potansiyel olumlu ve olumsuz etkileri, tematik çocuk kanallarının yayıncılık anlayışı, ilköğretim öğrencilerinin tema- tik çocuk kanallarına bakış açıları, aileden ve çocuk kanallarından beklentileri, çocuk kanallarının yayınlarının çocuklar üzerindeki etkileri üzerinde durul- muştur.
