Tomb 1 Left of chapel door (upright lost its top Cross) Erected by Mrs Mary O’Brien in memory of her loving husband Mr. James O’ Brien of Jenkinstown who died June 27th. 1867 aged 50. Also her mother Mrs Margaret Campion died March 24th. 1844 aged 60. Her s is te r Anne Campion died August 10th. 1868 aged 21 and her father Mr. Patrick Campion died 26th. August 1857 aged 70 R .I.P. Tomb 2 Left of 1 - Very large up right with 2 crosses and a lamb between. Erected to memory of William Campion Dunmore died Dec. 1855 aged 91 also his wife Mrs William Campion died March 1857 aged 88. His son Kyran died 28th. June 1872 aged 72. Also Bridget Campion died June 1880 and Mary Campion died December 1888 R .I.P. (Tomb maker Hoban, Kilkenny)

Tomb 3 (With rails surround) Pine large tomb with Cross on top with marble inlaid placque on boundary wall. Of your charity pray for soul of John Hendricken of the Triangle who died in year 1833 and. his beloved wife Anne Meagher died 1834 a number of their children who died young rest beneath this stone. This monument erected to their memory by an affectionate son and brother. Thomas K. Hendricken, Bishop of Providence, of America. Large Hendricken at end of stone.

Tomb 4 1st. of line of tombs just below Hendricken upright with cross. Erected to memory of Mr. James Fogarty late of City of Kilkenny who died 9th. A p ril 1874 aged 80.

Tomb 5 Upright. Erected by Catherine Muldowney in memory of her beloved husband Edward Muldowney of Corbettstown who departed this l i f e August 1 1862 aged 50. Tomb 6 U p r i g h t Erected by Edward Brannigan Patrick S t. in memory of his beloved wife Ellen died 21st. January 1899 aged 63. Also his 2 sons Thomas aged 13 and Edward aged 7. The above Edward Brannigan died 14 April 1908 aged 85. (Tomb maker Gargan)

Tomb 7 Upright. Erected by Mr. Michael Phelan Maunteen in memory of his daughter Margaret Phelan died March 1 1834 aged 17. Also above Michael departed this l i f e November 7 1840 aged 61.

Tomb 8 White marble cross. Erected by Catherine Brennan of Dunmore in memory ofher husband William died March 17 1902 aged 70 andher daughter Katty died A p ril 8 1899 aged 11 and her mother - in-law Anastatia Brennan died March 24 1876 aged 76 also her father-in-law John Brennan died February 11 1878 aged 88. Above Catherine Brennan died May 20 1930 aged 84. R .I.P. On side of cross. Her daughter Mary in religion Sister M, Edward died in Liverpool, also Mother Aloysius, Seafield Liverpool died 4th. Sept. 1948. Margaret died 8th. Feb. 1951 and Mother M. Evangeliste, Sacred Heart Convent, Lisburn died 5 September 1951. On other side John Brennan died 24th. September 1954.

Tomb 10 (Back to Boundary w a ll). Small upright (a cross at top between 2 smaller crosses) Erected by Pierce Bergin Dunmore in memory of his beloved wife Ellen Bergin alias Hickey died 3rd. December 1880 aged 42 and her 6 children.

Tomb 11 Celtic cross with shamrock spray. Erected by Patrick Campion Dunmore in memory of his dearly beloved father William Campion died February 26th. 1874 aged 80. (Tomb maker P. Hoban). In loving memory of Margaret Hoyne nee Walsh Dunmore buri ed 22 November 1900, aged 46 and her husband Patrick Hoyne died 26 June 1907 aged 56, their son John died 2nd. October 1902 aged 18 also th eir son Michael died 13 Sept. 1946 aged 70. Also their son James died 13th. February 1947 aged 67. (Tomb maker O'Shea, Kilkenny).

Tomb 13 In loving memory of Michael Brennan Bawn, Dunmore died 5th. A p ril 1960 aged 85 his wife Mary Brennan died 7th. November 1961 aged 83. Tomb maker Mullan, Kilkenny.

Tomb 14 Large upright. Erected by Thomas Barry of Radestown Stafford in memory of his son John died May 25 1832 aged 16 months. Here lie interred remains of above Mr. Thomas Barry who died March 22 1854 aged 62. Also his wife Margaret Barry (alias Birch) who after faithfully discharging duties of an affectionate wife a tender mother and a pious Christian departed this l i f e December 8 1866 in the 74th. year of her age. Requiescant in pace.

Tomb 15 Large upright with pediment and cross. Erected by John Neary of Ballyraggett in memory of his mother Nano Neary alias Birch departed this life Feb. 1st. 1859 aged 50 also her son Patrick died whilst a student in Maynooth July 17th 1860 in the 30 year of his age. Humble, gentle, sincere etc. The above John Neary died December 1st. 1887 aged 56 years and his sister Margaret Neary died 24th. July 1882 aged 51.

Tomb 16 Large Celtic Cross. Erected by George Stallard Parliament St. in memory of his beloved mother Mrs Bridget Stallard alias Ryan departed this l i f e 3lst. Janaury 1881 aged 65 also his dearly loved child Bezie (Bridget) departed this life 18th. Dec. 1886 aged 1 year 11 months. In memory of Bezie (there follows a long poem) On sid e--I n loving memory of George Stal l ard Danville House, Kilkenny died May 28 1921 aged 66.

Tomb 17 Small upright. Erected by Edward Hartford of Green St. Kilkenny in memory of his wife Bridget alias Lamon died July 23rd. 1869 aged 55 also his mother ? Hartford died May 15th. 1805 aged 70. Also 2 children died young, also above Edward Hartford died May 4th. 1876 aged 56. Tomb 18 Celtic Cross. In loving memory of Ellen Delaney nee Hartford Lisdowney died Sept. 4th. 1914 aged 61 also her sister Margaret M illes died November 21st. 1925 aged 80.

Tomb 19 Large upright. Erected by Henry McKenna of Dunmore in memory of his brother Francis McKenna died Feb. 25th. 1857 aged 25.

Tomb 22 Celtic Cross. Erected by Catherine Rice nee Guilfo y le Dunmore in memory of her devoted husband John Rice who died February 14th. 1925 aged 65, also her infant son Kieran who died young. Tomb maker Gargan, Kilkenny.

Tomb 23 Small standing stone plan. Erected by Michele Walsh of Dunmore in memory of his fa ther Joseph Walsh who died in this lif e 24th. June 1902 aged 44 and also his mother, Mrs Margaret Walsh (alias Dool y who died August 22nd. 1899 aged 84 years with two of his brothers who died young also his brother James.

Jan. 1848 aged 87 also her mother, Mrs Catherine Nolan alia s__ Murphy 7th. May 1841 aged 60. Also her brothers Jospeh who died May 1847, aged 30 years, and James who died young. And her daughter Mrs Mary McShane who died the 17th. March 1890, also the above Mrs Mary Lawlor died the 19th. June 1890, her daughter Catherine died 25th. Oct. 1925. Tomb 25 Standing stone. Erected by Mrs Ellen Nowlan alias O’Donnell, in memory of her beloved husband William Nowlan who departed from this lif e January 10th. 1838 aged 55 years. The above named Mrs Ellen Nowlan died the 8th. March 1844 aged 51 years.

Tomb 26 Celtic Rock (cross) Of your charity pray for the soul of Laurence O’Keeffe died 8th. April 1865. Hanora O’Keeffe died 8th. Sept. 1876. Ed. O’Keeffe who died 17th. January 1879, Mary O’Keeffe died 1914. This stone was erected by the very Reverend O’Keeffe P.P. Carcoar Diocese of Bathurst N.S.W. who died 2n Sept. 1931 R.I.P. Gargan.

Tomb 27 Celtic cross. In loving memory of John Cody Radestown who died May 1914 His wife Catherine died May 1933, their son Edward died October 1940. Erected by their loving daughter Mary Kate. Mullan.

Tomb 30 Next to church porch. In Hoc Signo Vinces. Erected by John Rice of Ballyrafton in memory of his daughter Mary Rice who died young. Also the above named John died November 20th. 1803 aged 68 years and his wife Anastasia Rice (alias Brennan) who died January 16th. 1874 aged 70 years also Kiaran Rice died A p ril 2nd.

Tomb 31 Ornate slab with stones around next to that of Rice, " Tynan R .I.P. Tomb 32 Large headstone with ears plot overgrown with weeds. Erected by Charles N olan in memory of his brother John Nolan of Dunmore. He died March 9 1822 aged 59 yrs. His mother Margaret Nolan alias Mille, ? she died March 5th. 1858 aged 60 years. His daughter Catherine Nolan who died August 15th. 1858 aged 15 years, her sister Margaret Nolan who died Nov. 1st. 1861 aged 22 years.

Tomb 33 Fourth headstone from porch, middle-sized. Erected by Catherine Shortall alias Shee, in memory of her daughter Margaret Shee who departed, this l i f e July 20th. 1879 aged 28 years.

Tomb 34 Ornate head stone. In loving memory of John Walsh Cellarstown East Killeen who died 18th. A p ril 1938 aged 58 years, his wife Julia Walsh died 4th. Feb. 1953 aged 70, also their son Patrick who died young.

Tomb 36 Grave in front of Nolan Grave 32, Rectangular headstone. Erected by John Butler, Mothel, Ballyfoyle. In loving memory of his grandparents James Egan died A p ril 1884 and Julia Egan died 29th. Nov. 1889 aged 72 years. His uncle James Egan died 21st. December 1924 aged 78 years.

Of your charity pray fo r the repose of the soul of Patrick Brennan Newpark, Castlecomer Rd. who died 22nd. Dec. 1943 His son Joseph who died 3rd. December 1952, also his wife Mary Brennan Nee Stapleton who died 17th. February 1953 and his fourth and youngest son Nicholas died 20th. Feb. 1969 R .I.P.

Erected by Mary Campion in memory of her father and mother Edward Campion aged 78 years his wife Margaret Campion and their children died young. Erected by Michael Walsh of Dunmore in memory of his wife Judith Walsh who departed this l i f e May 8th 1831 aged 57 years also his daughter Catherine Walsh who died October 18th 1828 aged 13 years.

Tomb 40 Standing stone rather smaller than 39. Erected by Winifred Walsh alias Ryan in memory of her husband James Walsh who departed this l i f e December 26 1817 aged 48.

Tomb 41 Celtic Cross. In memory of my parents Martin Walsh 9 Parliament St. Kilkenny died 1930 and Margaret died 1943 my uncle John Ballyhindricken died 1949 and his wife Mary Ann my uncle Philip died 1958. May they all rest in peace. Tomb maker Mullan, Kilkenny)

Tomb 42. Celtic cross. Erected by Nicholas Walsh Ballyhendricken In memory of his father John Walsh who died 20th. December 1882 aged 75, also his mother Anne Walsh nee Nolan died 29th. Sept. 1881 aged 77 years and 2 of his children died young. On side Nicholas Walsh died Sept. 21st. 1917 and his wife Katherine Keeffe died Nov. 16th. 1921.

Tomb 43 Large standing stone. Erected by Thomas Burke of Dunmore In memory of his father John Burke who died December 27th. 1822 aged 67 years.

Tomb 44 Large standing stone. Erected by Anastatla Nowlan alias Holohan in memory of her husband Nicholas Nowlan he died February 18th. 1821 aged 66. Also his son Patrick Nowlan he died in London August 6th. 1818 aged 27.

Tomb 45 Celtic cross next road wall (covered in ivy) Pray for the repose of the soul of David Roche and his wife Mary and their family who are Interred here. Prayer Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy.

Also his son Denis MoEvoy who departed this li f e August 29th. 1847 aged 27. Mary McEvoy alias Dowling died July 6th. 1863 aged 71. This monument erected by Mr. William Bryan of the City of Kilkenny in memory of his beloved wife Mary Bryan alias Nowlan departed this life 9th. Feb. 1828 aged 28 years, and two of their children who died young, also in memory of his affectionate mother Catherine Bryan alias Nowlan who departed this life 1 st May 1828 aged 63 years.

Tomb 50 A High standing atone with Celtic Cross on top. Erected, by Mrs Bridget Dalton of Burnfurs in memory of her husband John Dalton died August 1853 aged 70 years her daughter Catherine died August 1847 aged 18 her son William died December 13th. 1870 aged 26 of the above Mrs Bridget Dalton alias Nolan aged 85 her son Patrick died A p ril 20th. 1882 aged 50, Michael Dalton March 1919, Bridget Dalton died Oct. 1912. Erected by Garret Walsh in memory of his beloved father Peter Walsh of Dunmore who died May 1845 aged 64 years also his mother Mary Walsh who died 1843 and his brother Michael died 1847 aged 22.

Tomb 52 Erected by Mary Brophy alias in memory of her husband Michael Brophy of the City of Kilkenny who died November 5th. 1819 aged 74 years also his son Patrick Brophy who died 1819 aged 19 years also his daughter Mary Anne. Tomb 53 Large standing stone similar to the above tomb. Erected by Catherine Brown of Green St. in memory of her mother Mary Kelly alias Purcell wife to Peter Kelly late of Dunmore who departed this l i f e January 12th. 1822 aged 86.

Tomb 54 Erected by James Bourke of Dunmore in memory of his brother Alexander Bourke who departed this lif e February 16th. 1825 aged 32 also his sister Bridget Bourke who died 22nd. July 1827 aged 29 years also the above James Bourke died March 1838? aged 56.

Erected by Michael Timmins of the City of Kilkenny in memory of his mother alias Dempsey died July 17th. 1830 aged 48 years, his brother James Timmins died June 12th. 1847 aged 29, his wife Mrs Mary Timmins alias Meighan died January 28th. 1853 aged 26 years also his brother Patrick Timmins died January 2nd. 1853 aged 39 also with 6 of his children who died who here are interred.

Tomb 56 A small standing stone leaning back. Erected by Thomas Cranny of Freshford in memory of his mother Margaret Cranny who died September 1838 aged 60 also his son Michael Cranny died 1840 aged 10 years also his sister Bridget died 1841.

Tomb 57 Small stone leaning forward with a nice cross in a Circle, Erected by Thomas McEvoy of Ardaloo in memory of his son James McEvoy who died in the 19th. year of his lif e .

Tomb 58 Low new looking stone with stone surround, next wall. In loving memory of Richard Kelly, Suttonsrath, who died 2nd February 1964 aged 64 years, his brother Patrick Kelly died 3lst. October 1952 aged 72 years. R.I.P.

Erected by Mr. James Dowling of Kilkenny, Mrs Ann Dowling alias Nooney died November 1818 aged 84 years, also his children who died young. ■J'' Tomb 60 A high oblisk white cross on top. Erected to the memory of Mr. Patrick Mooney late of James' s Green, Victualler who died 27th. July 1863 aged 56 also in memory of his beloved wife Mrs Catherine Mooney who died October 19th. 1870 aged 48 also of John Mooney th eir son died 22nd February 1870 aged 20, their daughter Anaatatia died 23rd. November 1876 aged 18 years and 2 of their children who died young.

(Note Patrick Mooney was butcher attending the Shambles in 1839, Shearman’s Guide.

Tomb 61 Large standing stone. Erected by Mr. Stephen Kehoe of the City of Kilkenny In memory of his beloved wife Mrs Catherine Kehoe alias Mooney who died February 9th. 1832 aged 30.

(Mr. Stephen Kehoe was a S p irit Dealer in 1839 in High St, Shearman's Guide, to Kilkenny 1839)

Tomb 64 In front of Magee and Thomas Egan. Large standing stone leaning back. Sacred to the memory of Ellen beloved wife of Patric k Cody who died September 17th. 1861 aged 38 years , a ls o their son Edward Cody ---- WHO died August 3rd. 1868 aged 20 with 4 of their other children.

Tomb 67 Standing stone now lying down (in front and rear of Celtic cross) Erected by John Guilfoyle Dunmore in memory of his father Richard Guilfoyle who died Janaury 1823 aged 63 years and to his mother Catherine Guilfoyle alias Naddy who died August 20th. 1835 aged 51 years. Also one of his children who died young. Also his son Patrick G uilfoyle..... above named John Guilfoyle died the 20th. March 1 8 - - aged 60. Requi esant in pace.

Tomb 69 Small standing stone with cross on top and I.H.S. immediately le ft of Guilfoyle Celtic Cross. Erected by Thomas Egan to the memory of Ellen Walsh died 27th. November 1954 aged 82. Walsh Dunmore in large letters follows. Tomb maker Brophy Glencoole Co. Tipperary.

Tomb 70 Beautiful Celtic Cross with the old motifs. May Almighty God have mercy on the souls of Denis Guilfoyle, Dunmore, born 19th. January 1890 died 19th. February 1902 and his w ife Mary nee Barry born 2nd December 1827 died 8th. May 1913. Richard F. Guilfoyle died 18th. November 1960 aged 94, R.I.P. On left side In loving memory of Ellen beloved wife of Richard Guilfoyle died 6th. February 1917.

On right side In loving memory of Michael youngest son of Denis & Mary Guilfoyle died 12th. A p ril 1915. (could not find tomb maker Colles?)

Erected by William Tobin of Green’s Bri dge in memory of his daughter Mary Tobin died October 29th. 1825 aged 19 also the body of Margaret Tobin alias O’Neal died March 9th. 1828 aged 40. Erected by Richard Racket of Dunmore in memory of his father Peter Hacket who died ------1810 aged - - --- His daughter Margaret Lannon? alias Hacket died September 27th. 1810 aged 32.

Tomb 74 New small standing stone. In loving memory of Nicholas Phelan Mothel who died 11th. May 1962. His wife Mary Phelan died 24th. August 1928 Her mother Mary Shortall died 18th. November 1938.

Tomb 75 Standing stone. • Erected by Mrs Mary Azecbrain alias Carro ll in memory of her aunt Mrs Mary Archer who departed this li f e 2nd. November 1822 aged 90.

Tomb 76 Small standing stone directly behind Gullfoyle's Celtic Cross. Erected by Kyran Dowling in memory of his daughter Margaret Dowling who died 17th. day of September 1825. This is a very readable stone and there is more on it but rest is buried. (Iron cross here without inscription).

Tomb 77 Standing stone with Sacred Heart in a cross on top and next road wall. Erected by Laurence Hoban John’ s Quay in memory of his father and mother Martin and Margaret Hoban nee Corcoran. Also his brother Edward and his sister Kate and 2 children who died young his wife Mary Hoban nee Berry died 16th. December 1927 aged 69. Row 10

A.D. 1817. This chapel was built by public subscript­ ion by the parishionors of Dunmore under the Inspect­ ion of the Rev. James Henebry and on 6th. October 1818 the adjoining yard was consecrated by Right Rev. Doctor Marum R.C. Bishop of Ossory.
