The Smoky Mountains will be rocking this summer as "Fan Fest" heads to Smokies Stadium Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19. The inaugural event will be the first of its kind at the stadium, featuring a twoday appearance by cast members of the very popular TV series, "The Dukes of Hazzard," and a special concert by Merle Haggard. "Fan Fest" will feature two days of autograph and photo opportunities with "Dukes of Hazzard" favorites Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), Ben Jones (Cooter), James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane), Sonny Shroyer (Enos), Rick Hurst (Cletus), Byron Cherry (Coy Duke) and Don Pedro Colley (Sheriff Little). Fans will be able to ask the cast questions during a twoday Q&A session. The event will also include a host of cars on display from the show, including the General Lee, as well as lots of kids activities, live entertainment and great food. Merle Haggard will be headlining a special concert on Saturday night with an opening act (time TBD). Haggard, sometimes referred to as the "Godfather of Country Music," will take the stage Saturday evening to cap off a funfilled day at Smokies Stadium. This will be Merle's second appearance at Smokies Stadium; he first appeared with Willie Nelson and Ray Price in concert at the stadium in 2007. General Admission and Reserved tickets for "Fan Fest" have gone on sale as of today. Tickets may be purchased at the Smokies Stadium ticket office, online via our ticket page or at www.concertsinthesmokies.com, or by phone at (865) 2862300. Ticket packages for the event are available as well, ranging from $65.00 for a twoday pass with a reserved seat for the concert, to $20.00 for Sundayonly activities.
