October 2017

Welcome to the city of Gary, Indiana and congratulations to the Gary, International Black Film Festival.

Movies are magical windows to the past, present, and future of the human condition. They provide a pleasant escape from reality or a glimpse into the way things are or should be as seen through the eyes of talented directors, writers, actors, and technicians. For the seventh year, the Gary International Black Film Festival will showcase outstanding examples of motion picture arts and sciences. For three days, audiences will be treated to an enticing menu of power-packed dramas, insightful documentaries, delightful and thought provoking shorts, and many opportunities to network with actors, filmmakers, producers, and screenwriters.
