Annual Report 2017 AVEPRO’s main activities in this period involved: External evaluation visits to various Ecclesiastical Faculties in Europe Participation in international events Updating of the Agency’s Guidelines Meetings with international stakeholders January 12 Meeting between Father Imoda, Riccardo Cinquegrani, Prof. Piero Tosi, and Mons. Dal Covolo and Mons. Girardi (Rector and Vice-Rector of the Pontifical Lateran University) following the Institution’s external evaluation visit. 20-21 Antonella Piccinin, an AVEPRO collaborator, draws up a document comparing AVEPRO’s Guidelines with ENQA’s new European Standards and Guidelines. 27 Rome: Riccardo Cinquegrani participates in a conference organized by the Italian Episcopal Conference regarding Faculties of Theology and HIRS: "The relationship between theology and the pastoral. The role of Faculties of Theology and HIRS in local Churches and society". 30 The Faculty of Theology of San Esteban in Salamanca sends its Self-Evaluation Report (SER). February -- Valerio Napoleoni attends the IPSAS course “Basic Practical Accounting”. -- Appointment of experts and formation of a team in view of the evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of San Esteban in Salamanca. 1 The Faculty of Theology of San Vicente Ferrer in Valencia sends its SER. 9 Father F. Imoda participates in the Plenary Assembly of the Congregation for Catholic Education and presents the Agency’s activities. 14 Rome: Father F. Imoda and Riccardo Cinquegrani participate in a conference organized by the Conference of Rectors of the Pontifical Universities in Rome at the Antonianum, regarding the new CRUPR Statute and the mode of compilation of the Diploma Supplement. 20 The Faculty of Canon Law of Saint Vincent Martyr in Valencia sends its SER. 23 The Ecclesiastical Faculties of the University of Navarra, Pamplona, send their SER. 24 The Pontifical University of Comillas, Madrid, sends its SER. 27 The Faculty of Theology of Granada sends its SER. March -- Appointment of experts and formation of a team in view of the evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of Granada. 17 Preparation and sending to the Secretariat for the Economy of a Reporting package. 24 The Faculty of Theology of Catalonia, Barcelona, sends its SER. 24 Meeting with Oystein Lund of the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT) to define modes of cooperation between the two Agencies. 28 The Faculty of Theology of Northern Spain (Burgos and Vitoria) sends its SER. 31 Sending of the Summary of Activities to the Congregation for Catholic Education and Secretary of State. April -- Appointment of experts and formation of a team in view of the evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of Catalonia, Barcelona. -- Appointment of experts and formation of a team in view of the evaluation visit to the Pontifical University of Comillas, Madrid. 4,11 Samanta Bongini participates in the Labour Office of the Holy See (ULSA)’s “Initial Orientation Course”. 10 Father F. Imoda and Riccardo Cinquegrani participate in a meeting at the Congregation for Catholic Education in view of the publication of a special edition of the Journal Educatio Catholica to mark AVEPRO’s 10 year anniversary. 19 The Theology School of the University of Deusto, Bilbao, sends its SER. 20 The Pontifical University of Salamanca sends its SER. 27-29 Warsaw: Father F. Imoda participates in a meeting with the Polish Evaluation Agency. 28 The Ecclesiastical University of San Dámaso, Madrid, sends its SER. May -- Appointment of experts and formation of a team in view of the evaluation visit to the Faculty of Canon Law of Saint Vincent Martyr, Valencia. -- Appointment of experts and formation of teams in view of the evaluation visits to the Faculty of Theology of San Vicente Ferrer in Valencia and the Theology School of the University of Deusto, Bilbao. 3-5 Oslo: Riccardo Cinquegrani participates in the VII EQAF (European Quality Assurance Forum). 3-5 External evaluation visit to the Pontifical Theological Faculty “Teresianum”. 16 Father F. Imoda and Riccardo Cinquegrani participate in a meeting at the Congregation for Catholic Education on the subject of the reorganization of the Ecclesiastical Academic Institutions located in Rome. 22-24 External evaluation visit to the Pontifical University of Comillas, Madrid. 23-24 External evaluation visit to the Pontifical Theological Faculty “Marianum”, Rome. 24 Father F. Imoda and Riccardo Cinquegrani participate in a meeting at the Congregation for Catholic Education on the subject of the new legislation in the area of Higher Education in certain European countries (France, Germany, Poland). June -- Valerio Napoleoni participates in the IPSAS course “Principles of accounting in the IPSAS era”. -- Appointment of experts and formation of teams in view of the evaluation visits to the Faculty of Theology of Northern Spain (Burgos and Vitoria) and the Pontifical University of Salamanca. 5-7 External evaluation visit to the Theology School of the University of Deusto, Bilbao. 10 The Pontifical Biblical Institute sends its SER. 13-14 External evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of San Esteban, Salamanca. 1-3 Ljubljana: Father Imoda participates in a meeting in view of the evaluation process regarding the Faculty of Theology of the University of Ljubljana. 22 Meeting with Prof. Drago Pintaric, in view of a possible collaboration with the Austrian Episcopal Conference. July -- Appointment of experts and formation of teams in view of the evaluation visits to the Ecclesiastical Faculties of the University of Navarra, Pamplona and the Ecclesiastical University of San Dámaso, Madrid. 13 Meeting with François Mabille and Manon Mariniere of the IFCU in view of possible future cooperation. 20 Meeting between Prof. Piero Tosi and Prof. Don McQuillan regarding updating the Agency’s Guidelines in line with ENQA’s new European Standards and Guidelines. August 23 The Faculty of Philosophy Ignatianum, Krakow sends its SER. September -- Preparation and publication of articles for the printing of a special edition of the Journal Educatio Catholica to celebrate AVEPRO’s 10 year anniversary. 8 Meeting with Christine Andersberg of the Swedish Agency ENIC-NARIC, and Melanie Rosenbaum and Karolina Kasperaviciute of the Congregation for Catholic Education on the subject of the recognition of qualifications and quality assurance in Ecclesiastical faculties. 12 Preparation and sending to the Secretariat for the Economy of the Budget for 2018. October -- Appointment of experts and formation of a team in view of the evaluation visit to the Faculty of Philosophy Ignatianum, Krakow. 3-4 External evaluation visit to the Pontifical University of Salamanca. 11 Meeting with the Rector of the Pontifical University of Dr. Mirian de las Mercedes Cortés Diéguez and with Prof. Dr. D. Jacinto Núñez Regodón following the external evaluation visit to the same University. 5-6 External evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of Granada. 17-18 External evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of San Vicente Ferrer in Valencia. 18-19 External evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of Catalonia, Barcelona. 22-24 External evaluation visit to the Faculty of Canon Law of Saint Vincent Martyr in Valencia. 24-27 External evaluation visit to the Faculty of Theology of Northern Spain (Burgos and Vitoria). 25-26 External evaluation visit to the University of Navarra, Pamplona. November -- Valerio Napoleoni participates in the IPSAS Course “Financial Tools”. 13-15 External evaluation visit to the Faculty of Philosophy Ignatianum, Krakow. 23-24 External evaluation visit to the Ecclesiastical University of San Dámaso, Madrid. December 6,13 Valerio Napoleoni participates in a First Aid refresher course. 10 Meeting with the Rector of the Ecclesiastical University of San Dámaso, J.M.
