GIULIANOVA Lido (Te)
GIULIANOVA Lido (Te) Its territory covers 27 square kilometers, including the natural boundaries formed by the Salinello River, to the north, and the Tordino, to the south. To the west it borders with the town of Mosciano Sant'Angelo, to the south with Roseto degli Abruzzi, to the north with Tortoreto and to the east by the Adriatic Sea. The town is divided into two main areas welded together in recent decades: Giulianova properly speaking, also known as Giulianova Paese or Giulianova Alta, and Giulianova Lido or Giulianova Spiaggia (beach). The first includes the historic center and stretches up a hill of modest height (68 m. above sea level) about one kilometer from the coastline, while the Lido is made up of the most modern and touristic area, which developed during the twentieth century on the shores of the Adriatic. Giulianova can also show off, in addition to its monumental Promenade, a traditional fishing port and tourist center, one of the four in Abruzzo, and in its oldest part, Giulianova Paese, some monuments of a certain historical and cultural significance such as the Renaissance Duomo San Flaviano, which with its huge dome dominates the city, the cinquentesca Church of St. Anthony and that of Sant'Anna, the family chapel of the Bartolomei and the tower keep known as "the White", last remnant of the wall built in Middle Ages to defend the town. Also in the immediate vicinity it offers the opportunity to enjoy the hilly landscape, amidst the warm colors of welcoming olive groves and vineyards, visiting medieval towns and villages, and discovering the art and folklore of this piece of Abruzzo. -

PREMESSE in fase ultim a di definizione, individua nella - Piano Regionale Integrato dei Trasporti (PRIT Abruzzo): tratta ferroviaria Teram o – Giulianova – Pescara – Chieti la porzione di rete regionale nella quale puntare ed investire maggiorm ente per un riequilibrio modale a favore del “ferro” - strum ento program m atico del PRIT per Il Trasporto Pubblico Piano Triennale dei S ervizi Minimi (PTS ): L o c a le individua tra gli am biti nei quali attuare, con m igliore previsione di risultato, le strategie di diversione ed integrazione m odale verso il “ferro” la cosiddetta “E rovescia” (Teram o – Giulianova – Pescara – Chieti e Pescara - Lanciano) e la Avezzano – Rom a - è il piano “tattico” in attuazione del PTS che Piano di Bacino del TPL della Provincia di Teramo (PdB): prevede un consistente increm ento dei servizi ferroviari sulla “E rovescia” e un contestuale lieve increm ento delle percorrenze su gom m a, opportunam ente integrate sulla direttrice costiera e nella Val Tordino con l’esercizio ferroviario - attuativo del PTS, ha avuto una prim a applicazione con S istema Ferroviario Metropolitano Regionale: l’orario invernale avviato il 10 dicem bre 2006. Paride Abstract
IEE/11/MLEI/869.SI2.616385 - Paride Abstract In order to endorse and support the efforts deployed by local authorities in the implementation of sustainable energy policies, the European Commission launched the “Covenant of Mayors” initiative in 2008. Since September 2009, the Province of Teramo has been recognised as a supporting structure for the 47 municipalities of the province. All municipalities have joined the Covenant and are developing their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs). The Municipal Baseline Emissions Inventories (BEI) show that almost 70% of local electricity energy consumption is due to street lighting. The Region of Abruzzo, also supporting structure of the Covenant of Mayors, has recently updated the Regional Law 12/2005 concerning the "Urgent measures for light pollution reduction and energy saving" and confirms the attention of public authorities towards street lighting. Despite the existence of this Regional law, the lighting stock is inadequate if compared to the law, because of the use of outdated installations as well as a widespread use of low-efficiency lamps. The Province of Teramo is developing a shared technical assistance (TA) structure working to prepare and launch the investments on street lighting for itself and for the 3 ATS (association of municipalities, involving 33 Municipalities of the province), representing a population of 237.243 inhabitants. This will accelerate the implementation of an estimated 16.8 million Euros investment in the street lighting sector, in order to save energy, costs and greenhouse gas emissions. TA is needed to enable the transition from potential to real investment projects and to facilitate the mobilisation of funds for investments in small and medium-sized municipalities which, if not aggregated, could not make the upgrade of street lighting economically viable. -
