Ruud steht im ATP-Ranking auf Position 36 und wird für den Bulgaren Grigor Dimitrov einspringen, der den Startplatz bei den THIEMs7 zurückzog. Ruud komplettiert damit die Gruppe „SoccerCoin“, in der er unter anderem auf Dominic Thiem treffen wird. Daneben spielen in der Gruppe des Gastgebers der Russe Andrey Rublev (14) und der Deutsche Jan- Lennard Struff (34). Österreichs Tennisstar Dominic Thiem wird sein erstes Match am Dienstag, 7. Juli, in der Day- Session gegen den norwegischen Jungstar bestreiten. Am Mittwoch trifft er in der Night-Session auf den Russen Andrey Rublev. Am Donnerstag wartet eine Day-Session gegen den Deutschen Jan-Lennard Struff. Dennis Novak trifft bei seinem ersten Auftritt am Dienstag, ebenfalls in der Day-Session, auf Matteo Berrettini. Untertags werden je drei Matches gespielt, die Night-Sessions bestehen aus je zwei Partien, darunter auch jene der Austrian Young Guns rund um Sebastian Ofner, Jurij Rodionov, Lucas Miedler und Alexander Erler.     Jänner 2017 vorwort Liebe Tennisfreunde, noch ist das Tennisjahr nicht vorüber, aber wir wollen mit dieser klei- nen Broschüre doch eine sportliche Bilanz in Bildern und Texten ziehen. Wenn Sie sie durchblättern, werden Sie vor allem viele Kinder und Jugendliche sehen. Und das aus gutem Grund: Die Zu- kunft der Wiener Tennisvereine liegt in der professionellen Kinder- und Ju- gendarbeit. Dabei geht es nicht nur um künftige Weltstars wie Dominic Thiem, sondern auch um begeisterte Meister- schaftstennisspielerInnen, für die Tennis mehr als nur eine von vielen Freizeitaktivitä- Florian Feigl stellt ten ist.
