A TRIP TO REMEMBER Jordan Armstrong, Luis Bertran, Andrew Sellan, Gabriel Quinones, and Tony Price either tied or broke previous career highs during a three- match Carolina swing at Erskine, Belmont Abbey, and Limestone from March 9-11. Armstrong earned 59 assists, Sellan recorded three solo blocks, and Price earned 13 kills at Belmont Abbey. Bertran had 23 digs, Sellan recorded 14 digs, and Quinones earned three aces and 9 kills at Limestone.
DOUBLE-TROUBLE Both Omar Rivera and Alex Harthaller earned a double-double at Sacred Heart on January 23. Rivera finished with 49 assists and 12 digs, while Harthaller earned 11 kills and 11 digs. It was the first match since playing at Ball State on March 11, 2014 in which two ‘Dons earned double-doubles. Additionally, last year four ‘Dons earned double-doubles against Ball State on January 31.
ACE OF AUSTRIA Alex Harthaller’s six aces against St. Francis (Pa.) on January 16 ties him for fourth all-time in IPFW history for the most aces in a single match. Former teammate Elon Fyfield (8) holds the record, set at Puerto Rico-Río Piedras on January 6, 2012.
