Male genitalia are illustrated and a revised distribution map is provided. A few records of Trifurcula (Levarchama) species from the Annotated catalogue published in 2004 are corrected. Review of the Subgenus Trifurcula (Levarchama), with Two New Species (Lepidoptera: Nepticulidae)
Acta Zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 53 (Suppl. 1), pp. 101–140, 2007 REVIEW OF THE SUBGENUS TRIFURCULA (LEVARCHAMA), WITH TWO NEW SPECIES (LEPIDOPTERA: NEPTICULIDAE) NIEUKERKEN, E. J. VAN National Museum of Natural History Naturalis PO Box 9517, 2300 RA Leiden, The Netherlands; e-mail: [email protected] The subgenus Trifurcula (Levarchama) is reviewed. It comprises seven species, two of which are described as new: Trifurcula (Levarchama) peloponnesica VAN NIEUKERKEN sp. n., found in Greece: Peloponnesus and feeding on Anthyllis hermanniae, and Trifurcula (Levar- chama) manygoza VAN NIEUKERKEN,A.LAŠTŮVKA et Z. LAŠTŮVKA sp. n., from Croatia and northern Greece, feeding on Lotus corniculatus. The subgenus occurs throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, and all species make leafmines on Fabaceae: Loteae. All species are diagnosed and biology and distribution are discussed, including new hostplant and distribu- tional records. The phylogeny is discussed on the basis of morphological characters and hostplant relationships are discussed. The Macaronesian T. ridiculosa WALSINGHAM is sister to a clade comprising the remaining species. Lotus is most likely the plesiomorphic hostplant choice, with two host shifts to respectively Anthyllis and Coronilla. Key words: Nepticulidae, new species, leafminers, biology, distribution, hostplants, Fabaceae, Loteae, Anthyllis, Coronilla INTRODUCTION The nepticulid subgenus Levarchama BEIRNE, 1945 is the smallest of the three subgenera of the genus Trifurcula ZELLER, 1848, with five known species (VAN NIEUKERKEN 1986a, b). This contrasts with the larger subgenera Trifurcula s. str. and Glaucolepis BRAUN which have 28 and 27 named species respectively and to which belong many unnamed species that are known in collections (VAN NIEUKERKEN 1990, VAN NIEUKERKEN &PUPLESIS 1991, Z. -

Check List of Slovenian Microlepidoptera
Prejeto / Received: 14.6.2010 Sprejeto / Accepted: 19.8.2010 Check list of Slovenian Microlepidoptera Tone LESAR(†), Marijan GOVEDIČ1 1 Center za kartografijo favne in flore, Klunova 3, SI-1000 Ljubljana; e-mail: [email protected] Abstract. A checklist of the Microlepidoptera species recorded in Slovenia is presented. Each entry is accompanied by complete references, and remarks where appropriate. Until now, the data on Microlepidopteran fauna of Slovenia have not been compiled, with the existing information scattered in literature, museums and private collections throughout Europe. The present checklist is based on records extracted from 290 literature sources published from 1763 (Scopoli) to present. In total, 1645 species from 56 families are listed. Keywords: Microlepidoptera, checklist, Slovenia, fauna Izvleček. SYSTEMATICS AND PHYLOGENY OF HOLARCTIC GENERA OF NEPTICULIDAE (LEPIDOPTERA, HETERONEURA: MONOTRYSIA) by ERIK J. VAN NIEUKERKEN Nieukerken, E.J. van: Systematics and phylogeny of Holarctic genera of Nepticulidae (Lepidoptera, Heteroneura: Monotrysia). Zool. Verh. Leiden 236, 31-xii-1986: 1-93, figs. 1-135, tables 1-3. — ISSN 0024-1652. Key words: Lepidoptera; Monotrysia; Nepticulidae, phylogeny; hostplant relationships; leaf- miners. A revised classification of the Holarctic genera of Nepticulidae is provided. Eight genera belonging to the nominal subfamily are recognised and redefined. They are Enteucha Meyrick (= Johanssonia Borkowski, Artaversala Davis, Oligoneura Davis), Stigmella Schrank (including Astigmella Puplesis), Simplimorpha Scoble in the Nepticulini and Acalyptris Meyrick ( = Microcalyptris Braun, Niepeltia Strand), Trifurcula Zeller, Parafomoria Van Nieukerken, Bohemannia Stainton and Ectoedemia Busck in the Trifurculini. Trifurcula is divided into the subgenera Glaucolepis Braun (= Fedalmia Beirne), Levarchama Beirne and Trifurcula s.str. Ect- oedemia is divided into the subgenera Etainia Beirne, Fomoria Beirne, Laqueus Scoble, Zimmer- mannia Hering and Ectoedemia s.str. The genera and subgenera are (re)described and data on biology and distribution are given. The species Simplimorphapromissa (Staudinger) and Acalyp- tris psammophricta Meyrick are redescribed. A phylogeny of the family in cladistic sense is presented and discussed. The monophyly of Ectoedemia is uncertain, and monophyly of the subgenus Fomoria could not -
