We’ll devote one day visiting Keukenhof and the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, where the flowers of Holland are bought and sold, for delivery to floral shops around the world. But there’s more to see in Holland in the springtime! You’ll get a view of Amsterdam from a canal boat on the waterways of this amazing city! And we’ll visit several interesting gardens in the area, from one of Europe’s first botanic gardens at the University of Leiden to the Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam—one of the old- est in the world, founded in 1638. During our trip we will visit the city of Delft, where the world- famous blue porcelain dinnerware is made. We will have the chance to experience the Bloemencorso, a parade of flowered floats similar to our Rose Bowl Parade, winding its way through various cities en route to Haarlem.
