    REVISED DRIVER LINE-UP FOR NEW ERA AT TOYOTA GAZOO RACING Thursday 4 February 2016 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing today revealed the driver line-up which will lead it into a new era of World Endurance Championship competition. A completely new TS050 HYBRID car has been developed for this season, with significant changes to all areas, including monocoque, engine and hybrid system to meet the team’s ambitious performance targets. On the driver front, 2014 World Champions Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi are again joined by Kazuki Nakajima for a second consecutive season together. In the other car, former TOYOTA Formula 1 racer Kamui Kobayashi steps up from test and reserve driver to a race seat for 2016, replacing the retired Alex Wurz. He will race alongside Stéphane Sarrazin and Mike Conway. Race numbers for the 2016 season will be revealed on 5 February by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, organisers of the WEC and the Le Mans 24 Hours. Kamui’s elevation to a race seat leaves a vacancy as test and reserve driver, which will be announced, along with full technical details of the TS050 HYBRID, at a launch event on 24 March at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. The new driver line-up was announced earlier today at a TOYOTA GAZOO Racing press conference in Tokyo, Japan, at which the team’s new TOYOTA GAZOO Racing identity was also revealed. As well as an updated logo, a 2015 show car displayed the new black, white and red livery which will be modified for the TS050 HYBRID.

The KÜS Team75 Bernhard will tackle the pro-category of the 24-hour race in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, with a Porsche 911 GT3 R. Herberth Motor- sport fields two Porsche 911 GT3 R at the event from July 27 to 30 driven by profes- sional and amateur drivers. Inaugurated in 1924, the 24 Hours of Spa has a long tra- dition. The squad of the two-time Le Mans winner and team owner Timo Bernhard can rely on the Porsche works drivers Michael Christensen (Denmark), Kévin Estre (France) and Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium). Vanthoor has a wealth of racing experience at his home circuit and won the endurance classic in 2014. One of Herbert Motorsport’s contenders will be manned by Porsche works driver Sven Müller (Germany), Porsche Young Professional Mathieu Jaminet (France) and the amateur pilots Daniel Alle- mann (Switzerland) and Ralf Bohn (Germany). An all-German driver lineup of Alfred and Robert Renauer, Jürgen Häring and Marc Lieb share driving duties in the sister car. Lieb is the reigning champion of the World Endurance Championship for Drivers, outright winner of the 2016 Le Mans 24-hour race and he climbed to the top of the podium at Spa in 2003. Following Bruno Spengler’s (CAN) victory in Saturday’s race at the Norisring (GER), it was another BMW driver who crossed the finish line in first place at the end of the eighth race of the year on Sunday: after 66 laps, two safety car phases and one red flag, Maxime Martin (BEL) took the chequered flag to claim the 75th success for BMW in the DTM having started from seventh on the grid. Martin backed up third place in Budapest (HUN) and second place on Saturday with his third DTM victory – his first since 2015 at the Nürburgring. For BMW, this was a fitting conclusion to a historic weekend at the Norisring. BMW was victorious in Nuremberg for the first time since 1992 – and, as was also the case back then, in both races. Marco Wittmann (GER), Augusto Farfus (BRA), Tom Blomqvist (GBR) and Timo Glock (GER) finished fifth, seventh, ninth and tenth to complete a fine team result, with five BMW M4 DTMs in the top ten on Sunday. Spengler came home twelfth, having been in contention for a podium finish for long periods of the race. Qualifying: As usual, the grid positions at the narrow street circuit were decided by mere thousandths of a second.
