After hypotony, the cells were fixed by a solution of 96% ethanol and glacial acetic acid (3 : 1). Preparations were pipetted onto cooled pre moisterized slides. Dried preparations were stained with acetoorseine or 2% azure eosin (Giemsa stain, Merck, Germany).
