Your Guide to Your New Site

Congratulations on obtaining a position on the Graduate Leadership Programme at Morgan Advanced Materials. We are sure that you are both excited and nervous to start and you probably have some questions about where you will be working, so here’s a little guide to make everything a little clearer.

What to expect on your first day On your first day you will meet your new team and be shown around your department. You will also be given a full introduction to the company, which will include a site tour, spending time in the factory, and inductions with HR, IT and EH&S (Environmental, Health and Safety).

During the week your manager will run through what is expected of you throughout the year, go into more details about the projects you will be working on and will set your objectives.

Dress Code: Day-to-day the dress code is business casual - this means smart trousers and a shirt/jumper for gents (not suit and tie) and smart trousers/skirt for ladies (again not a suit). If you are attending a meeting or presenting then check with your line manager if you need to wear more formal attire. LOCAL AREA: (The closest town to Ruabon) is an industrial town in the north of that enjoys excellent exposure to a number of historical sites and links to the Roman remains in Chester. It comprises of a handful of local shops, bakeries, and supermarkets to serve a variety of tastes and cultures.

Ruabon has good links to large cities and is within easy access of the M6, A483, & A55. The Bus Stop is located very close to the site, Bus timetables are available from: http://www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/travel

There is a train station in Ruabon, however just a short distance away Wrexham has a larger one. The nearest airports are: • Liverpool John Lennon Airport (39 miles) • Manchester Airport (46 miles) Finding somewhere to live... We understand that relocating can be difficult, especially when moving to a completely new place.
