  • Bilton News Friday 19Th May 2017
Bilton News Friday 19th May 2017 This last week has seen many positive events at our great school. Uniform Our focus on uniform has been well received by students and there has been a noticeable improvement in the way that students present themselves. This has been commented on by staff and visitors to the school. The changes to the uniform announced for September have been equally well received, with lots of positive feedback. A small number of questions raised by parents/carers have been answered by Mr Gleghorn (see page 2) Parents Evening Wednesday‟s Gabor Parents Evening saw record numbers of parents and students in attendance. There was a lovely feeling to the whole event, and it was wonderful to hear positive feedback provided by parents (see below). It is great for teachers to see their hard work and dedication being recognised. “It was very clear to me they are all passionate about their job and genuinely care I was extremely impressed. I was impressed out of all the children they teach they really knew my son and were ready with all the facts.” “The teachers were very informative and really seemed to know my child and could comment on all aspects of his work, contribution and behaviour.” Improvements to The Site We continue to improve the school site by making it more welcoming. The new plants in the main courtyard have won many compliments from students, staff and visitors. We hope you like them too. PTA It was great to see the launch of our Parent Teacher Association on Tuesday evening.

  • Breakdown of 2018 Secondary Non-Selective Places in Warwickshire
Breakdown of 2018 Secondary Non-Selective Places in Warwickshire A school might receive more applications than the number of places available (the Published Admission Number or PAN). If this happens for Community, Voluntary Controlled schools or Academies (where the school has adopted the Local Authority admissions arrangements) places will be allocated using the Local Authority’s oversubscription criteria. If a Voluntary Aided or Foundation school receives more applications than it has places available, the governing body for the school will allocate places according to that school’s published admission criteria. Only on time applications received have been processed for places offered on 1 March 2018. Late applications and subsequent changes to applications will be processed through the reallocation rounds which begin on 19 March 2018. Warwickshire Local Authority oversubscription criteria The following criteria were used where schools had received more applications than places available after children with Statements of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or EHC plans had been admitted first. 1. Children in the care of, or provided with accommodation by, a local authority and Children who were looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a residence order or special guardianship order). 2005 act 2.
