Cypressaires & Bay Belles | Saturday, April 6th | 11:00a.m. – 12:00p.m. The Bay Belles are the Monterey Peninsula's only women's barbershop chorus. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to the craft of four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style. They are committed to the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance. The Monterey Peninsula Cypressaires, Directed by Kristen Thompson, are one of over 800 Chapters in the and Canada comprising the Barbershop Harmony Society. They specialize in the unaccompanied, four-part, close- harmony style of singing known as “Barbershop”, and have delivered hundreds of critically acclaimed performances all over the Monterey Peninsula since they formed in 1956. The Cypressaires are a mainstay in the local choral scene, and their many appearances at PG Good Old Days have become a tradition.

Formed in 2004, the focal point of the band is the classically trained sultry vocals of Kate Daniel. The band’s dance rock repertoire spans four decades and includes hits from Van Morrison, Journey, Linda Ronstadt, Los Lonely Boys, the Doobie Brothers and . The band plays community events, local nightclubs, and private parties."

With hard work comes the rewards of performing all over the state. RockStar Show Team will perform at the studio's 8th annual showcase on Saturday June 2, featuring the theme of Disney called "Once Upon A Dream". Summer will end the official 2017-2018 season at nationals.

Pacific Brass Band | Saturday April 6th | 10:15-11:00a.m The Pacific Brass Band, (a California non-profit 501(c)3 corporation) is a "British- Style" Brass Band, was founded in 1990 and gave its first concert in the spring of 1991. The members of the Pacific Brass Band come from Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties in California. Membership varies somewhat, but generally stands at about 30-35 musicians. The band's repertoire consists of traditional Brass Band literature, as well as American folk songs, rags, marches and popular and theater music. Much of our music comes from publishers in Europe. Formerly the lead singer for the popular local band Fool's Gold, Chuck was involved in a number of projects in the Seattle Area writing, playing and recording songs, before returning to the Monterey Bay music scene. Darlyn and Tony are featured at many wineries, hotels and restaurants and live events and have their own radio show on Sunday evenings. The duo has performed as well for celebrities, grand ceremonies and military functions. They perform swinging standards, bouncy bossas, Rockin blues and Romantic novelties. When they are not writing their own music or performing, they are reaching out and teaching in the community.

Katherine Lavin | Saturday April 6th | 11:15p.m. – 12:00p.m. Katherine Lavin is an 11-year-old singer/songwriter from Pacific Grove, CA. In addition to her dynamic performances on guitar/vocals, she also plays the ukulele, drums, some piano, and bass. Her passion for singing began when she was 2 years old. She picked up the ukulele at age 8, learned four chords in a single day, and wrote her first original song in the same week and many more in a month. She started taking guitar lessons with David Conley in December of 2017, and immediately found that playing the guitar and writing original songs was her true passion and forte. She loves performing at local open mic nights around the Monterey Peninsula and covers a wide variety of styles and genres, including her list of original songs, which is ever growing. Many of her students have gone on to become professional dancers. This Good Old Days performance includes students past and present, from 1st time performers, to professional.

Tipperary | Sunday, April 7th | 10:15a.m.-11:00a.m. Tipperary - Drinking from the well of Celtic music and more. The members of the Tipperary Celtic Band came together because of their love of traditional Irish and Scottish music. They met while jamming with Celtic music lovers at Asilomar. Shirley Tofte, fiddler, began playing the classical violin from the age of nine through college, but put her instrument down for 40 years, to raise three sons and teach school. Upon retiring she picked her violin up again. After hearing the music of Ireland she decided to follow her heart and take lessons with John Weed, fiddler for Molly’s Revenge. Every member of the band displays unique and varied talents. Jan Alden Cornish plays flute and banjo. Connie Conlee plays bodhran ( a celtic hand held drum) and guitar, as well as vocals. Chris Beem is a powerful singer, composer, and guitar player, and occasionally brings out bones or spoons to add spice to already pulsating sounds. Robin Keeler adds the resonance of his cello for an even deeper sound. Together, there is a magic feeling that has people moving their feet and even dancing.

Guitars Not Guns | Sunday, April 7th | 11:30a.m. – 12:15p.m. The Guitars Not Guns Band rehearses at the Marina Teen Center every Saturday. They play a fun mix of traditional and popular songs on acoustic guitars. The students range in age from 6-17 and come from all over Monterey County. Guitars Not Guns is a non-profit organization that fund raises to provide free instruments and instruction to the students, who earn their guitars to keep through participation in the program. All instructors are volunteer. The Monterey County Chapter has classes all over the peninsula and has distributed more than 1500 guitars in the last seven years.

Grumbling Ginger | Sunday, April 7th | 12:45a.m. – 1:30p.m. The press has described Grumbling Ginger’s music as “indie folk-rock with a Celtic twist” and “acoustic rock with driving rhythms”. You can hear it for yourself on the Goodies Stage on Sunday, when Grumbling Ginger bring their original music to the Good Old Days Celebration. A Grumbling Ginger concert brings to mind the atmosphere of a British folk club, with songs, storytelling, humour and an array of instruments including guitar, dulcimer, piano, mandolin, celestaphone, doumbek and bodhran. The members of Grumbling Ginger are: Jana Heller: Vocals, guitar, dulcimer, celestaphone, bodhran, songwriting Andrew Gilhooley: Percussion, mandolin Tom Lawson: Keyboards, percussion Shannon Warto: Vocals, percussion Grumbling Ginger have recently performed at First Night Monterey, the Sunset Center in Carmel and was the first of this year’s Concert series at the Marina Library. Their most recent album is “Smooth The Rough”, which features eighteen original songs. Grumbling Ginger have also released an album of holiday-themed instrumentals, “Grumbling For The Holidays”, and are currently working on a new album of original music. Rayburn Brothers | Sunday, April 7th | Goodies Stage | 1:45p.m. – 3:00p.m. The Rayburn Brothers Band bring a broad range of influences to their music. These local musicians play songs that are a mix of folk, rock and Americana. Singer-songwriters Craig and Keith Rayburn harmonize as only brothers can, with graceful melodies, poignant singing and deft instrumentation. All songs feature the effortless harmonies of Craig and Keith, augmented by the dulcet voice of Eliza James that give the vocals texture and intimacy. Long time lead guitar player Nick Heinz adds fluid guitar lines evoking classic rock greats, while the driving rhythm section is provided by Ryan Sills , Kito Rayburn provides sturdy basslines, and keyboard player Kevin Taylor weaves in and out of the songs with grace and harmony.

Formed in February 2007, they entertain audiences with a wide range of material arranged solely by members of the all- student group. Razzvio | Sunday, April 7th | 11:15am - 12:00pm Razzvio is an electric violinist and singer who reinvents familiar pop and rock arrangements from an entirely different angle. Through live looping, she blends powerhouse vocals with her unique violin designed to build songs with the sophistication of a string quartet. Razzvio’s all new brand of interactive electric string pop will make you rethink the electric violin and is a perfect complement to any outdoor event, college, winery, corporate party, or family restaurant. Singer/violinist Razz is a songwriter and classically trained musician. She performs with a custom 6-string electric violin called a ‘Viper Violin’ which allows her to sing and play at the same time and encompasses the range of a violin, viola, and cello. Razz has toured throughout the United States with her intimate, self-sustained, and volume-controlled setup; delighting listeners in concert halls and street corners since 2013. Razzvio has released two albums, ‘Mercurial’ and ‘Perpetual Hybrid’. Her newest album ‘Song of the Explorer’ is scheduled to be released in 2017.

Pop Rocks | Sunday, April 7th | 3:00pm-3:45pm Long ago, in a garage far far away, Pop Rocks was formed by three dads, their first victory against the drudgery of work and diapers. During rehearsals, they managed to concoct secret plans to turn preschool singalongs into metal anthems and old covers into catharsis with enough power to destroy their parental malaise. Pursued by life's sinister monotony, Pop Rocks prepare a new set of songs to entertain kids and their parents...and restore freedom to their galaxy...
