BAB I PENDAHULUAN 1.1.

However, there are still many places that lack the necessary infrastructure and other supporting facilities in order to maximize their potentials. Together with local governments, strategic partners and likeminded multinationals, Jababeka would like to develop these places and build integrated, independent cities. The blueprint for this ambitious plan is Kota Jababeka, which is a matured, independent township in West Java, located 35 kilometers east of Jakarta. This city is Jababeka’s flagship development and is home to about 1,650 companies from over 30 countries and 1 million people.

  • Network and Margin: the Case of Chili Supply Chain in Bekasi Regency
Journal of Industrial Engineering, Scientific Journal on Research and Application of Industrial System, Vol. 4, No.2, September 2019: 66-71 Network and Margin: The Case of Chili Supply Chain in Bekasi Regency Johan Krisnanto Runtuk1 dan Nurhayati Surbakti2 1,2) Industrial Engineering Department, Faculty of Technology, President University Jababeka Education Park, Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara Kota Jababeka, Bekasi 17550, Indonesia Email: [email protected], [email protected] Abstract Chili (cabai rawit) is one commodity that is very significant for people's daily consumption. However, the price of chili often experiences a significant increase. This condition will make the sales of chili decrease dramatically if the price rises. In addition, the margins felt by farmers to sellers of chili in the traditional market are uneven. this is also felt by other vegetable sellers. This research aims to identify the supply chain network of chili in Bekasi Regency. The margin of each stage in the supply chain network is also identified. This research employs descriptive analytical. Descriptive analytics is a preliminary stage of data processing that creates a summary of historical data to yield useful information and possibly prepare the data for further analysis. Data collection method used is by direct observation in Bekasi regency and other locations associated with suppliers of chili, then we employ direct and a phone interview with respondents. The finding shows that there are three main stages in supply chain of chili in Bekasi Regency, namely producer, distributor and consumer. The consumers can buy the product from three channels, that shows the flows of product from producer to consumer.

  • Big Data in Smart Cities: Usage in Kota Jababeka for Customer Satisfaction
Advances in Social Science, Education and Humanities Research, volume 558 Proceedings of the Asia-Pacific Research in Social Sciences and Humanities Universitas Indonesia Conference (APRISH 2019) Big Data in Smart Cities: Usage in Kota Jababeka for Customer Satisfaction Deby Puspitaningrum1 1 Universitas Indonesia *Corresponding author. Email: [email protected] ABSTRACT Data continues to grow in importance in today’s digital world, and when collected and combined in large quantities and various formats, it becomes what is known as “big data.” In the industrial world, big data can be used for various things and in various ways; one of them is in managing a smart city. In the concept of the smart city, the city is integrated across people, information technology, and communication. Using big data in a smart city, area managers can find hidden patterns and discover the various tastes of consumers in the region, as well as other valuable information. In the Cikarang area of Bekasi, West Java, in Indonesia, an integrated industrial area known as Kota Jababeka is developing the smart city concept using big data. In an area of 5,600 hectares, there are 1,800 industrial tenants, 12,000 residents, and 5,000 commercial businesses. This study describes how the use of big data in Kota Jababeka is beneficial for city managers in satisfying the various needs of their constituents. We use descriptive, qualitative research methods, namely, interviews and studies of secondary data, as inputs. We conclude that the use of big data in Kota Jababeka makes it easier for city managers to provide services to their constituents and that the services can be provided in real time.
