Terms of Reference The main outputs of this study are to: (a) Review policies for the Metropolitan Greenbelt and Rural Housing Control Zone and (b) A review of the rural housing policies applicable to the remainder of the County, based on the template put forward in the Sustainable Rural Housing Guidelines 2005. It was agreed at the Planning Policy Group Meeting of the 17th January 2012 that although the initial aim of this study is to review the rural housing policies for the Metropolitan Greenbelt, this needs to be carried out in line with the overall approach to rural housing set out in the Ministerial Guidelines. The following section outlined the agreed approach for the study which was adapted to address any emerging issues as the study progressed. The Approach of this Study is to: • Use the Sustainable Rural Housing Guidelines as a template to revise and review the current rural housing policy. -

County Development Plan? The prescribed process gives a 99 week period in which to make the development plan. Cork City Council Cork County Council Metropolitan Cork Joint Retail Strategy December 2013 Midleton Town Council Cobh Town Council Draft Metropolitan Cork Joint Retail Strategy 1.0 Introduction 1.1 The Retail Planning Guidelines (RPG's) for Planning Authorities (2012), issued by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, require Local Authorities to prepare retail strategies and policies for their areas and to incorporate these where appropriate into their development plan. The guidelines note that certain development plans and local area plans must be informed by joint or multi authority retail strategies which should assess retail activity and demand needs that transcend planning authority boundaries. The guidelines specifically identify that Cork City and County Councils should prepare a joint retail strategy. 1.2 John Spain Associates were commissioned in August 2012 by Cork City Council and Cork County Council to prepare a joint retail study for Metropolitan Cork. The strategy set out within this document is based upon the findings of the retail study which will replace the existing 2008 Cork Strategic Retail Study. The Metropolitan Cork Joint Retail Study is available online at www.corkcity.ie and www.corkcoco.ie It is envisaged that this joint retail strategy for the planning authorities in the City and County will be incorporated into the review of their respective development plans commencing in 2013. The strategy will form the agreed basis on which each authority will be able to formulate appropriate development plan objectives or policies for retail development in its areas and will be used in the determination of applications for planning permission. -

Cork 2050 will create the circumstances to deliver an addional 120,000 new jobs and approximately 60% populaon growth to 850,000, and in this context is a roadmap for sustainable growth across all of Cork. 7 June 2021 Planning Policy Cork County Council Carrigrohane Road Public Consultation on the Cork County Council Development Plan Dear Sir or Madam, The Lee to Sea Strategic Greenway envisions a world-class walking, running, and cycling route that connects Inniscarra Dam to Crosshaven, passing through Cork County’s largest town of Carrigaline and connecting other County settlements of Inniscarra, Passage West, Monkstown and Ringaskiddy. The Lee to Sea Greenway is supported in objectives within Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy and Regional Spatial Economic Strategy / Cork Metropolitan Area Strategic Plan. We welcome the acknowledgements within Draft Plan Vol.1 paragraphs 12.7.14 and 12.7.21 in relation to the CMATS and CMASP objectives supporting the Lee to Sea Flagship Greenway as a short to medium term deliverable and the proposed Lee2Sea greenway sections to deliver connections between Carrigaline, Passage West and Ringaskiddy. The route would serve commuting, leisure and tourism functions for tens of thousands of regular users of all ages and abilities. The Lee to Sea would be well connected to bus, rail, cruise liner and ferry terminals, with close proximity to Cork International Airport. It would be within 2 km of 157,000 people around Cork Metropolitan Area where the county is proposing the majority of growth. This would significantly reduce transport emissions. It would reduce traffic congestion and parking demand around the Cork metro by creating an attractive active travel corridor connecting Cork’s major retail, educational
