CLONMEL DISTRICT

Welcome

Clonmel- is ’s southernmost and largest , with access to a highly skilled workforce. The District is home to a host of multinational organisations and is a key strategic logistics hub for the integration of port, shipping, road and rail freight services that link the UK and mainland Europe.

This District is at the epicentre of the Irish food sector, with local producers ABP, C&C, Glenpatrick and Merrys headquartered here. With the development of FDI facilities such as Questum and the Ballingarrane Science and Technology Park, it is also home to a thriving life science and technology base. Questum houses some innovative high-potential startups (HPSU), which highlight Tipperary’s business diversity. Included in these startups are the industrial IT, data management/analytics, pharma/ medical and healthcare sectors.

The District also has enhanced civic and cultural education and training offerings; such as with the planned development of the Kickham Barracks complex.
